Yes it is! Everything from At The Heart Of Winter onwards has good production but I’d say everything from Damned In Black onward is of this type of production quality levels. I’d recommend everything from Blizzard Beasts (my favorite) till now. First three albums are raw and lo-if like more 90’s Black Metal.

This is fucking fascinating. I would call it "Girl Talk Lite," and it definitely IS that, but it's also something more.
T.I.M.E. makes YMCA sound emotional and epic, like a struggle. The "hey now, you're an all star" song merged with Under Pressure makes the lyrics to that awful bit of fluff sound urgent, heartfelt and deep.

this album is funny, yes, but a lot of the pairings are ingenious and the new meanings evoked are often strangely transcendent.

I had only really listened to “Shadow on the Sun,” “Like a Stone,” and “I Am the Highway” before this. Every track on here is great. God, am I gonna miss Cornell’s voice. So damn powerful. Red Barked Tree is the only "newer" wire album i've heard and i freakin' love it (saw them when they were touring on it and picked it up on vinyl at the show). my mom loves it too which always makes me laugh for some reason. i still haven't really delved into their middle period material, either. i'm a big fan of pink flag through 154 and i need to listen to all the other stuff.

New album to follow April 6th. With them swearing in this song, it has caused a huge uproar on Facebook and Youtube (mind you) with Christians losing their minds over this. Didn't they announce awhile ago they were moving away from their religious ways??

Yes they did. It was obvious a long time ago....like before Aaron even left the band...that they weren't really Christian anymore. Second, the song isn't great, but it's not bad at all. Love the drumming during the verses.

the band that i used to be in has an album coming out, and they released a single/new video for it last week.

I DON'T GET IT. am i an idiot? do i have bad taste? why are people so into this? the band sounded NOTHING like this when i was on guitar & drums, and i guess they took their stuff in a very different direction after i left, but i really just don't get it. i don't find it appealing in the slightest. it elicits no emotional reaction from me other than being bored. i know this could come off as me being jealous but i promise it's not that, i really just think it's weird that so many people seem to like it. they're getting coverage from stereogum, the NYT, and various other outlets that are praising it. why?

she's amazing. she also played guitar on the last Red Sparowes album, and an offshoot of that band was her band Marriages. the drummer in marriages (who also plays on her solo stuff) is andrew clinco, aka Drab Majesty (who i fucking adore). ERR has also done stuff with Jaye Jayle that's fantastic. she's also super nice.
