Eric made a huge difference and left a gigantic void behind. He had a huge role in co-writing the older songs with Perry. I think he even wrote a few by himself. It hasn't been the same. Unfortunately, I seriously doubt we'll get another album with him... Real bummer.

Lanegan tours at least once a year so it won't be long before he's back in your neck of the woods. The album he did with Duke Garwood 'Black Pudding' is one of my favourites this year. Absolutely stunning piece of work.

Raffertie's album took me by surprise, I wasn't expecting much from it, but this record sounds really awesome (especially when listened with good headphones). Numan's latest is great as well, one of my favorite releases this year and a great follow up for Dead Son Rising.

I've been a big fan of this guy since his debut The Last Resort, and he never disappoints. He gets a fair amount of unwarranted shit for not doing "another album like Last Resort" (i.e. largely electronic), and I respect him for really following his muse and not pandering. He's kind of evolved into a mix of David Lynch and The Soft Moon. Fans of either or both need to hear this album!
