Yeah, I haven't seen anything in the same league this year, with the exception of a few 2013 spillovers. Very clearly packaged as awards-bait, but it's a story that needed to be told, and the film does it very well.

Watched it last night and it was amazing. Made me cry at the end.

It struck me as a more subtle, less dramatic version of A Beautiful Mind. Both biopics were highly formulaic, paralleling each other almost identically (granted, their subjects were inherently similar), but that said, A Beautiful Mind is a great film, and so is this one.
