You won't regret it! It was mine too and I saw NIN there in 2018. Hands down the coolest outdoor venue I've ever been to, and probably my favorite non-theatre venue. I'm in Seattle and still bummed out to not get the 4 show run at the Paramount that was planned for 2020, but these 2 shows at Red Rocks are a solid consolation prize.

Is the parking and getting in and out of there as bad as people say? I was hoping for the Seattle, Toronto or Vancouver shows to be rescheduled (I'm in Calgary) but who knows if they'll ever happen now. Red Rocks is the only shows I'm interested but, I like to get in and out of a venue easily now that I'm in my mid 40's, have seen NIN 16 times since 2000, and have seen them play just about all my favorite deep cuts on the 2018 tour.

NIN at Red Rocks last tour was also my first time there. Even though I had since moved out here, it was just as the pandemic hit so I haven't been up there again since.
From what I remember there two reasons leaving the venue is a pain, first is the walk to the lots. Lots, plural, as there are a few lots placed around along the way down the mountain. Second, which is why you make sure before you go you're not low on gas, is the way out is looooong. One road out, one lane, large venue capacity. At least it's down hill. Google maps does a decent job of illustrating both of these points if you use satellite view.

Got some shitty seats for night 1, but whatever, we're going. Have had Red Rocks on the bucket list for awhile. Taking the kids, again, too - will be their second NIИ show. I lived in the Springs for about 5 years when I was younger, so I'm excited to road trip them up there for the first time and show them all around.

See y'all there!!

Yeah dude, it's fucking nuts.

I honestly didn't think my wife was gonna make it down the mountain last time, on the second nite.

If you haven't been to red rocks, you need to know that getting to and from the amphitheater itself is literally a somewhat advanced hiking adventure.

So I'm mad confused, y'all.

I wasn't gonna go, but now, I really wanna get tickets for at least one nite, IF I can get just GA tickets.

I'm PRETTY sure we wound up crowding five people into 3 good seats on the second nite, last time, didn't we @ImTheWiseJanitor (https://www.echoingthesound.org/community/member.php?u=427) ?

ANYWAY. Why are the ticket master GA seats $160? I thought that WASN'T supposed to happen.

Doesn't the release say that tickets sold for over face value will be "scrubbed?"

Also, I don't have a cell phone. Liek, I have several cell phones, as in, the objects, but they're hooked to Wi-Fi and not a plan.

I've never done digital tickets and I'm not understanding a bunch of this, I guess.

I asked heavenly_bearded to help me, (after he told me to get tickets) but either he's at work, or he doesn't love me anymore...not the way he used to, at least.

Can anyone throw me a bone, here?

Ticketmaster is resale only, they aren't the people that are selling them. AXS is who is selling them and you go through the red rocks site.

Oh, yes, if you're flying to Denver PLEASE DO NOT COME THE DAY OF THE SHOW. You need to acclimate to the altitude. Come at least one day before if at all possible. Also, drink way more water than you feel like you need to, and then drink more. Starting to get a headache or dizzy or feel just kinda off? Drink more water! I have to say, I'm the healthiest I've ever been now that I live here lol

If you don't have a cell phone with cellular service you're going to be shit out of luck.

The only other solution I can think of is going with a friend and having them pull up your AXS account on their cellular-enabled phone.

I think he should be fine. So long as you have a cell phone that can run the AXS app, I don't think you need an active cellular connection. The barcode should be time-based (not network-retrieved; kind of like TOTP codes on Google Authenticator) and should be able to be generated without a network connection. If, for some reason, it does require network connectivity, I'm sure you could bother someone who's going in to tether to their cell phone hotspot for a few seconds long enough to gain entry to the venue.

Someone told me.there was a "hard ticket" option for ten extra bucks.
But yeah, I'm just about to.the point of not fucking with this. It's a damn shame.

I was KIND of planning on not fucking with it anyway, because I'm afraid it's just gonna be CBI 2022 but with higher ticket prices, and, I saw both red rocks nights last time, and it feels like that was pretty damn recently. And we aren't exactly rolling in the dough right now.

The only reason I changed my mind is that a couple of ets friends asked me to go, and also, that SO many of us appear to.be going.

So I decided fuck it: if I can get one pair for around $200, I'll do it.

But now I'm worried about the cell phone thing.

So i have a ticket for Saturday night that I spent stupid money on to be in the front and center. The question is for those folks who have been to a show here before, would you suggest doing a ticket further up for Friday night? To get the full Red Rocks experience?

I've been to the venue before, but just during the day as a tourist... It was pretty cool to see the view of the valley and imagine all the epic shows.

The thing that usually bugs me about being further back is when I'm next to people who aren't really there to watch the band. It's why I've skipped Vegas the last few tours. Could anyone local talk about the overall vibe of crowds at Red Rocks?

elevenism Yes, you can get a physical ticket for either show for extra bucks.

@Discobunny (https://www.echoingthesound.org/community/member.php?u=3730) I've always gotten seats that end up far to the left and found the view still great, sound okay, lights on the stage sometimes block things. :-D I don't know that it will make too much difference about the people around you, most people will be standing and rocking out but without an actual pit for us wackos to line up early for, any spot is going to be whatever it will be. :-)

I got a ticket for Saturday but had zero luck for Friday. I had a GA ticket in the cart twice and both times the website crashed right before processing the payment :(

If anyone has a spare ticket for Friday please hit me up, I would be extremely grateful. Like for many of you, red rocks has always been my n°1 dream venue to see NIN.
This is my second time in the US by the way. As of right now I'm also going to Troutdale and Berkeley. Glad there will be some familiar faces around :)

The hard copy ticket is souvenir-only. You still need the AXS App in order to show your digital ticket.

But, as I suspected, it is confirmed, your iOS or Android device does not need to have Internet connectivity in order to display the ticket:

No, it means network connectivity. It just says "wi-fi" because they/people are stupid. Like I said, the token is time-based and after being initially seeded (when you're logged into your account on the app), can be calculated without internet access.

I typically skip shows at the Hollywood Bowl for this reason - it's too difficult/expensive to get up front and the back of the venue is full of people having picnics, drinking wine and largely not giving a shit haha. I've seen a few shows at Red Rocks and have def found the further back you are the less people care but that is pretty standard, especially when it comes to big historic venues. I think you should be safe being up front though. Red Rocks in general is not nearly as bad with talking and general not giving a fuck as The Bowl in my experience but I think that has to do with the fact that Colorado just has better crowds than LA (which are the worst in the country imo).

I have tickets for Friday but am currently looking for Saturday so if anyone has an extra pair they are looking to offload I'd be happy to take them. Have an extra pair for Raleigh I could trade if there was interest.

Does anyone have experience buying Red Rocks tickets off of StubHub? It's telling me my tickets will be ready by August 31st, which seems insane. The tickets I got in the Tuesday presale last week for the Saturday show were in my AXS account within a few hours, so surely this StubHub seller must already have the mobile tickets in their account?

I don’t really know why, but my crazy ass is going to try making a road trip out of it - not only driving from Denver to Oregon (and maybe staying with a friend up there), but also seeing Jungle play in Phoenix a couple days before the Red Rocks shows, so it’s looking to be about a 10-11 day trip depending on how much time I can get off work. God. I’m gonna have to work 50-hour-weeks every week until September to make that all happen. And my job may hate me for leaving, but at least I know they won’t fire me. ^^’

It’s a fantastic place, though. You will not be disappointed! But be sure you’re hydrated and ready to walk up and down lots of stairs! It can wipe you out for sure, especially if you end up having to park a little ways away.

Hey, all, I was just going to go to the Saturday show, but now I'm thinking of going to the Friday show as well. I'm looking at resale tickets and am confused by the seating chart on Ticketmaster. It shows General Admission as being right in front of the stage AND toward the back of the theater. Is this just wrong, or does it mean GA is both of those locations, and anyone who shows up early enough can get into the front section? Thanks in advance!

FULLMETAL

TheBang
05-02-2022, 06:24 PM
Yeah, Red Rocks shows can have so many different seating configurations that it's confusing sometimes to the reseller sites as to which one is being used.

NIN's configuration for these shows is reserved all the way from the front, row 1, until about row 44, I think. A few rows fewer than the last set of shows NIN did there. Beyond Row 44, it's all GA.

You may want to wait on tickets until we get closer. They've been gradually declining over the past couple months. And AXS may always do another release of seats. It could pay off to check the ticketing a couple times a week.

For those of you coming from LA or Dallas, there is a new airline flying into the Denver area. JSX.
It's semi-private smaller planes--- I have flown them to Vegas a few times out of Burbank. And I am flying on the 8 am on Fri from Burbank if anyone wants to join me.

Ironically, it's cheaper than Southwest last time I checked.

I have a $20 off promo code if anybody wants it. Flights are so freaking expensive right now, every little bit helps. DM me.
