There had better be a BD release of this
Is it actually confirmed that the soundtrack's being released tomorrow? I thought I read that 'more details' were coming, not a definite release? Anyway, count me excited for this. The thought of three discs of new music is an enough to make me pass out. Going to be hard to find the time/dedication to listen to it all in one go though..
I can not wait for this film to be released!!
Please update this thread with any known release info - I was counting on the 12-2
between Underworld and TR/AR this is shaping up to be an expensive weekend...
i've seen 2 (perhaps 3?) different TV spots for TGWTDT; is there a comprehensive list somewhere of all the trailers/teasers/tv spots/etc.?
Three discs?
shit!
that almost guarantees about 45-60 tracks on this sonabitch!
This is gonna be like sifting through ghosts for the first time.
Also, i'm struggling to find Trent's biggest composition for this years Academy Awards as well. It's unlikely he'll win twice in a row and hell we haven't even heard the soundtrack yet, but just sayin''
Where did the date of the 5th come from?

Search for the movie...should have all trailers listed...
I could be wrong, and I hope I am, but the Academy seems way too pretentious to even consider a 3 disc score. It's an awesome miracle that they considered and awarded TR&AR for Social Network, but I really just don't see them even openly diving into a 3 disc set.
Like I said, though. I could be wrong, and I hope that I am. I would love to even see just a Nomination two years in a row.
So, is the movie just going to be music from end to end? And does anyone have a beat on what the run-time is, to possibly support this theory?
That's true, they get a specified soundtrack that is made specifically for the songs that show up in the film. For example, tracks "Complication with Outimistic Outcome" and "Carbon Prevails" we're actually used in The Social Network, so those tracks were omitted for the Academy reviewed soundtrack. The GWTDT film probably only incorporate half of that three disc package, making the actual songs up for nomination more likely to be chosen.
According to www.sf.se (official website for all things Swedish cinema) the movie will be around 2 hours and 40 minutes. In other words, it's shaping up to be scored from start to finish unless they cut the tracks in other to fit the movie, which they most likely will.
Sadly, it'll be digital for me. I'm pretty sure I'll have only spent $300 for one collector item in my life, and that's already on my bookcase.
Wait... so is there a confirmation that there is going to be a $300 "special uber-deluxe edition!!11!!!one", or is it just based of the Ghosts I-IV "Ultra-Deluxe edition" and the fact that there's going to be six vinyls?
I'd wait til we hear what TR has to officially announce...either later today or tomorrow. Until then I am not going to start freaking out about anything...yet...
Warming up my F5 key. . .
"Preparing to press the button"
I'm anticipating that he's going to press a button that sends a tweet out that says "Soon"
Who knows, maybe we'll get a HDTA album too :v)
"Button pushing will commence in 4 hrs, 6 min."
Unless he's fucking with us, midnight EST it is.
Button pressing will be in 4 hours....
