I had never heard of Moondog until last night when I searched Jim Sclavunos on YouTube, and found him promoting a Moondog film Kickstarter campaign. This lead me to listening to the Moondog albums found on YouTube. Great music, and interesting fellow. Here's the entire promo for the doc:

Great german rap artist with mostly very dark and depressive lyrics and a great voice.
I found the lyrics in english for you
This song is about his own depression but uses the movie "Control" about Joy Division/Ian Curtis as story line.

"It was never just a look or a song,
Only a death wish just to see who would come
And until those walls are my end
Dreams are just words the mouth doesn't dare to think
    I think
Please, see, you were my one and only
    My Ritalin
The nights with the Springsteen records
Full tears of things we never had as kids
Plus the courage of recognizing the gap
In the middle of an open-arm dance on the burning bridges
We were into life, yet a bunch of misery
Maybe the victory is to be found in surrender
    Let's dance and flee
Synchronize sparking moments to the tact of the music
Stomping the beat, clapping to the song
    Pushing and pulling
    Clinging to sweet melancholies
    Darling, don't ask,
Let's just drive on as if there's no end of the world
What a Kodak moment, how your heart bursts
Me blurry next to you, looking annoyed to the left
Right, Mr. Superstar. Dammed year, foot in the grave.
I never asked for this talent
Keep on screaming, just don't wake me up
    When I'm sleeping finally

The medication doesn't work for shit
I'm still here, at least everything's numb
    Woke up, her again
Again, acting as if it bothers me
Doctor, what do I have to say to finally get the good stuff?
No joke, only one more trip
To finally kill Cas (short for Casper) and Benjamin (Casper's real name) with him
I want into that fucking light
Why am I even paying the rental?
I'd do it myself, but for that I am too cowardly
    No doors, only barred windows
The dream is portrayed better than it is
    What are glory and fame?
I have to admit that I can understand Ian Curtis very well by now
I try to see the life rosily
But it seems that depression never gets out of style
    Darling, leave it be
    Those wounds were always there
No band aid in the world could cover them up
Because that blood was always there
And when it comes to us, there was never a
    moon
Only the sun just before its setting
I always wanted to write big songs,
But you never liked the sound of my voice
I always wanted to write big songs,
But you never liked the sound of my voice
    Darling!"

getting a vibe that reminds me of the first Ours album, which is weird. i don't LOVE the song, but i don't hate it. interested to see what the whole album sounds like. beggars & major/minor both took a few years to grow on me after my utter obsession with vheissu & the alchemy index.

I love this song. It's awesome. If you don't like it, fuck you. Conan/Garry Shandling brought me here.

Pretty much the best song ever to conclude Hannibal. Alas still mourning no more episodes/seasons.

Started listening to this after watching the really great film. You'll notice that Dr. Dre completely ripped off Bumpy's Lament for one of his songs on 2001 (not that that's anything new with hip hop music, but I just always thought Dre had created the composition that actually comes from Isaac Hayes and his team).

I can listen to this song on repeat over and over. That first 40 seconds I could play on loop for an hour and never get tired of it. Easily their best album since Sacrament and their best song since Contractor (I actually dig that one).

song rips. Whole album rips actually. Saw them a few weeks back at Hammerstein and they were fantastic as always. Hate their fans though.

I'd argue this cover is even better than Cash's cover of "Hurt."

I've always been the odd one with the NIN community preferences so no surprise.
