I personally could give two shits about "rankings" for each album, I love them all... but this new one is on a whole different plane conceptually.

Just pre-ordered the deluxe vinyl. I've been listening to the album for a while now, and between that and the NPR performance, they totally earned it. I was also admittedly spooked by the limited edition blue cover selling out.
It would be kinda wild if someone ripped the video and recut the tracks to match the album sequence, despite the missing track.
Lullabies will always be my favorite album from them... but Like Clockwork is turning out to be fantastic.
Is anyone else hating that constant piercing 15khz noise that persists through the two heavy parts of Kalopsia? It's driving me nuts
I'm not savvy enough to know what a 15kHz noise is.
I think I Appear Missing is the best QOTSA written. It's a close call with Lullabies as my favourite release, I think it edges it actually.
go here http://onlinetonegenerator.com/ enter 15000 and hit play. The sound is somewhere around 14000hz and 15000hz
It's like they used a shitty amp or something.
in picture form:
I looove that sound. It makes the song more memorable for me.
I love this album more each time I listen to it...
Also, does anybody else get a Pink Floyd vibe at the climax in the middle of the song "Like Clockwork"? You know, the part where the guitar soars and the voices go la la la la la la laaaaa la.
Already received my copy of ...Like Clockwork deluxe edition today! Looks really awesome!! This is why you prorder records - to get them early!
I won tickets to the Live on Letterman concert next Wednesday, I'm beyond excited for it
Listened to the live stream of the album on iTunes. I know the album has been online for a little while, but I'm trying to not torrent from bands that I'd like to support, at least until some time has passed and they've made some money off their stuff). Love it. I haven't gotten into QOTSA that much, although I love The Desert Sessions and Them Crooked Vultures. I think this album might be a good gateway for me to listen to the rest of their stuff.
I will listen to the live stream on iTunes. Just read some of last weeks QOTSA interview in NME, I didn't know Josh almost died in 2010!! damn. Trent almost could of produced the whole album.
I'm surprised no one posted this yet, copped from the QOTSA Twitter.
Did I mention I pre-ordered the deluxe edition? Because I totally did and I'm really looking forward to receiving it.
I received my CD yesterday, turns out it doesn't even come with a booklet.
"Go to qotsa.com for more info" my ass
Except for the ginormous turd that is 'My god is the sun' this album is freaking beautiful and awesome. I'm in love.
No CD booklet? Yo,that is just poor.

That sucks. Will stick to the download then...
Correct. All vinyl versions also come with a download code for both FLAC and MP3, I believe.
I'm listening to the album for the first time throught the Itunes stream. I Appear Missing it's my favorite for now.
The album it's pretty intense,I love it and I can't wait to hear it properly through a decent stereo.
Could someone who has the deluxe edition take some legible photos of the lyrics/credits? I'd be eternally grateful.
I'll do the next best thing and post someone else's photos.
Jesus. This is going to easily compete with that Postal Service reissue as vinyl packaging of the year. Just gorgeous.
