"You recently mentioned the idea of the new QOTSA album coming out sooner than later, and having it be more of an upbeat counterpart to …Like Clockwork. Is that something you’ve thought about more since then?
Those are all just wishes. In a way, I probably guaranteed that it will be anything except that. This is the problem of talking about something before you do it. You sort of jinx the living hell out of it."

Here's the Sound Opinions show. Really cool interview; I love the talk of generator parties in the desert: https://soundcloud.com/soundopinions...-homme/s-FIiDx

They just announced a show at Barclays Center on 12/14, obviously I'll be there but it's their first ever (headlining) arena show in the U.S. so it'll be extra special

Finally coming to NY! Now I don't feel so bad missing out on made in america (though it woulda been nice to see nin's festival set-up). Any idea of prices, I know Barclay's isn't usually cheap

Wow. TM says only $49.50-$59.50, plus fees.

that was a serious bummer- I don't get it if you price everything just around $40 then you have such an exponentially better chance of selling out the show, $70 for a great seat is cool with me, but not the casual fans it takes to fill arenas

Last December, I ran into Nick Oliveri at a Del Taco in Palm Desert, CA. He had his mom sitting in his now wrecked Mercedes parked in the handicap parking.

Where the hell can I buy this?

I just bought my tickets to the Barclays Center show! The Kills are one of my other favorite bands, we have friends in NYC that we've been meaning to visit, one of the friends also loves QOTSA, and the show is right after the end of my husband's semester. It's like the universe wants us to be there!

So for the Germany show, here are a bunch of photos. (And I thought he was continually joking about the hymnal... they actually printed fucking hymnals. hahahaha)

    And a couple of videos.

I saw The Kills support Jack White in London, and I enjoyed them more than the man himself. Their live show has gotten colossal as of late.

Snatched me up a GA ticket for Barclays Center, so pumped, although I've already seen them 3 times this Summer (2 at incredibly intimate venues) I'm yet to see a full headlining show this year

I'm not sure that I've even seen a video of a live performance, so that's great to hear! Now off to YouTube!

I was there, that night was incredible! Got in to the venue super early and watched The Kills rehearse for about 20 minutes, there was so much rehearsed they didn't perform that night.

    Hoping to see QOTSA tonight!

They're playing in Boston in December. I have no one to go with. I really want to see The Kills.

Go alone! I go to concerts alone all the time, and meet people at every single one I go to.
