^Not sure what interview it's been in recently, but Robert said they're currently holding theatres in LA and NYC but may decide to go with (bigger venues) instead.

Just rewatched this interview from 2012. Robert is such a delight to watch and listen to.
Again he mentions how much he loves The Hungry Ghost. Why on earth didn’t he make that a single from 4:13 Dream?
I heard a rumour last year that Wish would be reissued for RSD this year. I'm glad it turned out false because I'd be pissed with an overpriced and/or limited availability reissue.

I however, can't wait for the Wish remaster...it needs it badly and would love to hear the demos and unreleased stuff from that era.
Don't get me wrong I'm really excited for a wish reissue. But I'd rather a sensibly priced and widely available one like the existing deluxe editions up until now rather than an RSD exclusive
^ yes, that's what I meant..not a RSD exclusive..sorry.
Thanks for sharing! You look great.
i watched the raw HBO footage of the Cure induction at the hall of fame (don't ask). included Trent's speech. the whole thing was spot on. the band sounded great, 1 of the better versions of "lovesong" ever. really like what Reeves Gabrels has brought to the party.
It really was one of the better Shake Dog Shake's (and A Forest even) that I've heard in a while. The band was playing with an intensed, focused ferocity (Simon was living for it). If I'm honest I'd probably prefer Perry back in the band to bring the 1996-2004 era back full circle, but Reeves is a phenomenal guitarist. I don't know why they're not playing the Kiss.
listened to "bestival live 2011" the other day and while the performances are mostly pretty good, the mixing is so weird. the snare sounds dead and flat (the complete opposite of the snare sound on their studio recordings) and the overall sound makes it barely discernable that it's a live recording.
That was... kind of an odd show anyway. I think Porl (Pearl) was out, Reeves wasn't yet in. Robert was trying to pull off guitar parts he doesn't normally do. And yes, Robert's gotten on a kick of preferring to mix drums pretty awkwardly these days. The original Entreat live album sounds pretty wonderful, then the "remastered" 2010 version suddenly sounds like Boris is hitting cardboard, strangely a lot how Jason's drumming tends to come across.
Marilyn Mansons song 'The Last Day On Earth' is The Cures 'The Walk'... right? Especially 'The Walk' remix version.
listened to "kiss me..." yesterday for the first time in a while. it's funny that it has some of my favorite songs (the kiss, icing sugar, if only tonight we could sleep) and probably my least favorite song by them (catch). i also feel like, besides not liking it, "catch" really interrupts the flow of the album being the second track. "just like heaven" also feels like it doesn't really fit (though i love that song). and is it just me, or does "a thousand hours" sound like a direct prelude to "plainsong"?
I don't mind Catch. Wrong placement though. Maybe even wrong album. Doesn't belong and disrupts the flow for sure.
I love Catch but it doesn't have the right placement at all, yeah.
As someone who picked up Kiss Me after Disintegration, the keyboard line in How Beautiful You Are is way too similar to Lovesong (I know now that's backwards)
I might have mentioned this before but there's a bootleg re-arrangement of KMKMKM that someone did that has this listing
