FOSCOR RELEASE COVER OF THE CURE'S "THIS TWILIGHT GARDEN"; OFFICIAL VISUALIZER / LYRIC VIDEO STREAMING
I'm hoping we get a North American tour announcement in January (wait until after the holidays are over). After listening to several tapes from the European tour that just finished I'm ready to see them live. The shows have been fantastic! I may even do more than one city if health & finances allow for it.
He should've thrown his bass to someone in the crowd! Imagine getting that.
Replace "throw" with "gently pass", lol.

The quality of that video is so clear.
Great article about the Cure European tour. Especially interesting is how totally involved Robert is in every aspect including keeping the ticket prices down for the fans. Good read.

According to set list.fm, they did. Honestly the change doesn’t bother me. It’s such an awesome song live.
That final Wembley set list is full of bangers: at night, 100Y, Trust (fairly uncommon), TIB…
Still no fucking Halo!
I got a consolation prize t shirt from a friend who made the show I didn’t, and due to a mixup I got a ticket stub to keep as well heh
This is clever.

Another rumor, and just a rumor, about the Shows of a Lost World ROW tour. So add this to the Australia, Mexico and US rumors.
Will any of them come true?

@CraigatCoF Hi, Craig. A brazilian journalist is reporting gigs here in april 2023 (Rio and São Paulo). I hope it is true. Just for your (and Cure community) information.
Robert actually looking kinda distinguished without makeup: https://twitter.com/archivebears/sta...448769/photo/2
One of the few times The Scream was done live apart from Rome:
Incredibly interesting, making of Disintegration with original song titles, etc:

OK so we had all the tracks done and then Robert started playing his parts, six string bass and a little bit of guitar, there was very little guitar on the entire record really. I remember the day we recorded Plainsong, it was all done in the control room and Robert showed me what to play and for some reason that day he wasn’t talking, I think he was massively hung over so we did it all with him writing notes hahah it was hilarious. He played the big chords, they were very Robert, just sort of playing every note you could at the same time. The song is in C so its all the white notes and just about every one of them was played in that song. We kept accurate notes of what sounds we used, what instruments and what the chords were for all the keyboard part which actually came in very handy in 2002 when we re created the album for the Trilogy DVD. Obviously we had no idea in 1988 that we were making a Trilogy but anyway I was able to use the original sounds for the Trilogy shows based on the notes I made in 1988 and still had/have.
Breaking rumour:
'Songs of a lost world' is supposed to be released on 22nd April 2023 (Record Store Day) as a special Picture Disc double LP.
Regular editions planned to release a week later, 28th April.

The Cure photographer Paul Cox: “Robert Smith is a normal bloke – but he has a presence”
Cox tells us about his new photo book 'The Cure "Stills"', years of working with the band, and recent correspondence with Smith
Smith has repeatedly teased the band’s upcoming record to NME as a dark, “merciless, relentless” piece, inspired by a period of great loss following the passing of several family members, and in a similar spirit to their 1989 gothic art-rock masterpiece ‘Disintegration’.
Quizzed on if he had any inside knowledge on ‘Songs Of A Lost World’, Cox replied: “No, not at all! Haven’t they been working on a couple of albums? I know one was supposed to come out back in the autumn, but I can understand why it didn’t. Sometimes you won’t hear from him for three months at a time, then he’ll come back with shitloads all at once! A lot of personal things have happened in his life over the last few years, and he just puts his priorities in the right place.”
The Cure “Stills” by Paul Cox is out now. Visit here for more information.

More info from reddit/twitter:
German phononet (online platform for record store owners & distros) is listing both 'Show' 30th anniversary double LP & 'tba' ('Songs of a lost world' maybe?)
Or maybe 'tba' is 'Paris' LP version?
That would be awesome, too.
Really nice (old; 2007) write-up from the author of Charlotte Sometimes, how she met Robert, what became of it all with copyright laws, etc. Really heartwarming:

The band went out and came back before the encores. And then it happened. A few familiar chords sounded; everyone started cheering. Robert held up a hand - stilled them - 'you all know the song', he said - more cheers, but stifled - 'this evening,' he went on, 'the writer of the original book is here in the hall with us.' The cheers rose again and he didn't stop them this time as the lights swung round to where Charlotte and I were sitting and picked us out. People craning round to see, I got up, put up my arms, waved my hands about and acknowledged them; the first and - certainly - the last time I'd get that kind of buzz, the kind rock stars are used to, but writers most certainly aren't, even the best known ones. Then the chords swelled up again, the cheers faded and I sat back and listened with everyone else to what was by now, even to me, something deeply familiar, even effecting in its way. My tune you could say; yes, really.
edit: Indeed it is on YT! -
Can't hear him introducing her though...? As she recalled it?
