John Hillcoat, Ice Age, next week."
So, this means a music video right? I couldn't find anything about it in this thread or the HDTA Thoughts thread.
EDIT: Ugh, fuck you, guy above me.
a music video from the director of the road, yes
EDIT: better timing, beatch

Ice Age is the CLEAR standout track on the EP, so I'm very happy it's getting the single treatment.
John Hillcoat rules. I adore his unconventional music video for UNKLE's 'The Answer' so my jaw kinda dropped when I saw Mariqueen's tweet. Treat yourself to it now if you haven't seen it before! (also features the amazing Ray Winstone)
damn you, trent, i was hoping for the third KIT video, but with a plot!
This is rather awesome news. Seems like a respectable director. Only seen The Road from his filmography but I really liked how it was done. I hope the video reveals more about the EP. The lyrics to the songs are very mysterious so some insight would be amazing. Looking very much forward to this
The Proposition is one of my favorite films, and I love The Road as well. It's great to see Trent and Co. working with some of my favorite directors.
In recent times, Hillcoat has worked very closely with Nick Cave - maybe Cave wrote the script/treatment for the video- and maybe that was the hero Trent was with a couple of weeks back...
One can dream....
HERE WE GO!
In case someone missed the promo sale on the HTDA site
Edit: just received mine (from the german store JPC)
Edit 2: I just played this thing on my record player (loud): awesome sound! For sure, I can hear more details and more dynamic than on my lossless download. VINYL ROCKS!

Wow, what a neat deal! 7,99€ (-60%) and no shipping costs for people within Germany. I was hesistant at first getting this, but that's a deal I can not let pass. Thanks for the info!
Damn, I cannot wait to watch the video for Ice age. That's mega exciting.
You know, critics can say what they want, and debate the merits of this EP as long as they want.
For me, the bottom line is that in the 10 days I've had this thing, I've listened to it 2-3 times a day, for a combined total of around 10-15 hours. I can't remember the last time I listened to *any* new release as much. I'm still enjoying it, and I've already gotten way more than my money's worth out of it. I still trust Trent to deliver something worth my time and money.
Anyone knows how limited this bonus 12" is, and/or if the An Omen EP_ vinyl is limited at all?
I highly doubt An omen EP_ will be limited because it's a major release. I think maybe the promo vinyl would top out at 1000 or something like that. I dunno.
I don't think the EP is limited, the order with the promo was limited, I guess. First HTDA EP is sold out everywhere and keeps popping up on eBay for a lot of money. And the Keep it together promos have arrived there too.
I have not seen official numbers for the nin.com preorder vinyl. The only place I've seen the "Limited to 500 copies" verbiage lately was talking about the Telepathe record with the NIN-camp remix of Destroyer. That is numbered and limited to 500 copies.
I get pissed when I see these ebay auctions, I feel bad for any REAL fans who are forcing themselves to pay those fucking prices just because they missed out on the pre-order... not blaming anyone in HTDA but I do blame these people selling them, they're assholes plain and simple.
that's business, man.
i'd do the same.
Edit: forgot to say, several of 'your eBay assholes' are from Canada.

I think columbia have got their act in order now as the download code included in the vinyl now seems to work from eu locations
After cancelling my order at the local record shop today since it never showed up, I just found the sealed ep on ebay for $13 shipped That's half what I originally paid at the store

I don't even know what to add here.
That's odd, does it mean that TR and/or HTDA were working in post production too? One doesn't normally finish shooting and then instantly release footage, but I really doubt it's the band's forte, aside from Rob.
