No thread? I'll start a thread. Caught the Vancouver stop of their last tour and they straight killed it.
Oh, before I forget. THEY'VE WRITTEN NEW MUSIC FOR A NEW ALBUM AND HERE'S MORE TOUR DATES.

I saw them once (supporting NIN?) and they were great live. Great.
But their album was disappointing.
A new album?!?! YES!!!
Finally! it just took 8 years and a breakup to get a follow-up to "You're a woman, im a machine", i dig their punkish-electro-rock, let's see if they still got it!
DFA1979 just announced a Toronto show for Boxing Day at the Danforth Music Hall!
How have I just found about this now, like three weeks later...
DFA1979 - 'The Physical World' - September 9, 2014
FUCK. YES.
Now if only we can get DFA to open for the upcoming tour instead of Death Grips

No Vancouver date? BOOOOOO...
I dig the new song. I can see why people are a little worried cause it does feel a polished....the official version that's come out sounds great with headphones though. We'll have to see.
Terminal 5... nice.
I didn't even know they were making a new album. Great news. Their old stuff has become sort of 'classic rock' to me, stuff I compulsively play when the mood strikes me every now and then. I dig the new song; its different, but still them.
Sounds like they combined the MSTRKFT style with DFA79
which is cool.
YES!!! I'll be at the Seattle gig FOR SURE!!
I heard about this two weeks ago but was forced to keep silent by the promoters. I'm fucking psyched for that tour and got to announce the gig in our city magazine + getting 2 tickets for free. Orangehouse is a really small club aswell, which has me even more excited! I'm really happy about this and the new track is also quite nice!
does anyone have the pre-sale code for the Seattle show?
Seen these guys a few years back in Edinburgh, quite a gig if I remember correct. I see they are playing Glasgow in October. Tempted.
New album is now streaming from iTunes!
Rumour has it the album leaked too. Looking forward to release.
So does it live up to the first one?
Playing in Brooklyn Monday.....
Got my Brooklyn tickets for this Monday at Rough Trade NYC..... they're on sale right now! $25!!!
So stoked to have them putting out some new stuff, I hope I can catch that Boston date.
new album is very solid. fuck going to see them at terminal 5, but people who are lucky enough to see them at rough trade tomorrow will be in for a treat.
terminal 5 was my backup plan... Still might go to that one too...
This new album is magical. Honestly not a single bad track on here. It just flies by. This has exceeded every bit of hype I had for it.
