New IG post. Seb likes to do those piece by piece posts. Sorry I’m SM illiterate.
looks like they are hyping up a new release. I’m ready. Love these guys.
It was 3 years between The Physical World and Outrage, and it's been 3 years now since Outrage came out, so I'm optimistic a new album is getting released or at least announced this week.
Thanks! IG link → https://www.instagram.com/dfa1979/
They're 2 pics short of completing a 3x3 grid. I won't spoil the picture, except to say, it doesn't categorically say "new album", although I agree that's most likely.
welp...
Pretty sure Seb did the same thing before they announced Outrage!
"I just thought this photoshop image of the logo looked cool. Thanks to our fans."
...but seriously I hope we're getting a single Friday?!

Just the new picture so far.
Dudes just posted a teaser? On their insta.
Now a cover of “helter skelter”
Has anyone called the number? I would but im at work
I did. It's a robot reciting lyrics to a new song. No music playing or anything, just lyrics.
Seems to be lyrics to a new song titled "1+1". I'm guessing maybe a valentines day release from them?
I messaged Seb and told him I call a couple times a day hoping the song will play. He said, “Maybe one day the song will play!”
1+1 out February 3rd!
The little snippets sound more electro than previous work and I’m up for that.

New song rocks! Love the production on it.
Love it. There was a signed version on their US site earlier and now its completely gone. Could they have sold them all already? It was gone within an hour I think, but they seem to still be available from the Canadian site.
This song really goes nowhere doesn't it? It's ok.
So they're back to being Death From Above 1979 and not just Death From Above?
I believe they tested the waters on it. They weren’t given “permission” to do it.
They probably just realized how annoying changing your name in the middle of your career is when it comes to streaming services and digital stores. Lots of times, streaming services won't let you alter a release after the fact. So now your music is stuck on 2 different artist pages, one for Death From Above and one for Death From Above 1979. I think they realized it was just stupid to change their name and only makes it more confusion for new listeners in finding their music.
