RIP Andy Rourke.
New song Notre-Dame done live.
“Darling, I Hug A Pillow” debuted live tonight.
This was weird. Guess these are the only kinds of interviews he can do where he won't be challenged for what a reactionary shithead he's become.
For anyone not caught up, here’s where we currently stand:
- He recently canceled a bunch of shows (heh heh). Actually did the Japan show two days ago, and the next shows are here in Australia. I’m not going, because of next points.
- Live shows have all been same, repetitive set lists. Alain rejoined the band briefly, and recorded the new album Without Music The World Dies, but left soon after with Gustavo because Morrissey’s manager has been bullying everyone. No bad blood with Moz, but he refuses to come back until the managed is axed, or replaced. Apparently the manager and Jesse Tobias are tight. I can’t stand either of them. Alain is a brilliant musician.
- Bonfire Of Teenagers still isn’t out. About a 10 second clip of the studio version of I Am Veronica was posted online in a tour ad a few months back. Currently he’s only playing the song Sure Enough, The Telephone Rings live lately, which is really crappy. The closer, however (Saint In A Stained Glass Window) is majestic, and I Live In Oblivion is also amazing. If he buys the record back from Capitol, he’ll have to release a version of I Am Veronica without Miley Cyrus’s vocals on it, or re-record it. Still a mystery to me why the label released Rebels Without Applause officially as a single, then that was it.
- Without Music The World Dies… who knows if that will come out either? He’s played the title track (which is pretty crap) live, and the opener The Night Pop Dropped. The later is pretty good. Then he played the song Notre-Dame (or Notre-DAYUM! as I call it) and it is also pretty crappy.
And that’s where we stand. Two unreleased Morrissey albums and The Cure’s new album still also nowhere to be seen. lol.
First show in Perth, Australia canceled.
He says he’s going to do a show in January performing You Are The Quarry in its entirety but that’ll probably get canceled too at this rate.
lollercopter
lmao what is this? hahahaha.
i alwyas loved this track tho.
Morrissey designed the sleeve for it. He said it’s better than his version…

"A RUSH AND A PUSH AND THE MUSIC IS OURS" (April 19, 2024)
Morrissey has paid the exit fee to Capitol Records in order to return both WORLD PEACE IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS and BONFIRE OF TEENAGERS albums back to him.
"It's been a long, hard, bloody war. Few would make it out alive, and … I'm no exception," he has commented.
Morrissey remains unsigned.
You Are the Quarry is never going to repressed, is it? =/

ANNOUNCES BEETHOVEN WAS DEAF LIVE IN PARIS
(2024 REMASTER)
OUT JULY 26TH
ANNOUNCES TWO LAS VEGAS SHOWS
JULY 26 & 27 AT HOUSE OF BLUES
"Despite recent fiascoes, I will indeed be fully present in blood-soaked flesh at the House of Blues in Las Vegas on July 26 (Friday) and 27 (Saturday). Having hung upside down for several months, I am now in good health - like an arrow fully drawn and waiting to be fired: please fling me. The 26th has ordained the first U.S. release of Beethoven Was Deaf, a live recording in Paris for your private use. Signed copies of the vinyl will be available at the House of Blues for those of you who still run upstairs whenever the doorbell rings (l certainly do.) Life begins again with full accompaniment from Jesse Tobias (guitar), Carmen Vandenberg (guitar), Camila Grey (keyboards), Solomon Walker (bass), and Matthew Walker (drums.) Expect a night of thrust and parry - no-show tunes. If you can find a decent pair of shoes, by all means come along. There is nothing quite like physical proximity, I am assured. If you would rather not come, then you are obviously one-half of a twin pair of parakeets. Some people sing, some poison the air. But if life is meaningless then why was there not always nothing? For those of you 85 and over who are still waiting for Bonfire Of Teenagers to be released, good news is finally within our grasp.
Hopefully, I will smell you in Vegas - where the audiences always stay the same age ... are you in the mood?" at

Although I would prefer You Are The Quarry or Southpaw Grammar on vinyl, I'm happy for any classic Moz on wax, so I'll definitely be scooping up that Beethoven release. I will never understand his need to use art from completely different eras though...
