I'm loving it. If you've heard the bootlegs, you're not going to be wildly surprised. It layers so much better here, though. And the little breakdown in the middle gels a lot better in this mix.

The song is not "spectacular", and we've heard it before, but it's great to have a studio version of it. I will definitely pay 1$ on iTunes! And I'm really glad there will be another way to buy the live collection.

The song is great but it doesn't blow me away. I'll echo the post above me and happily pay $.99 via iTunes.

It's no 3 Libras, but it beats just about everything from emotive.

Nothing beats the acoustic version of 3 Libras... well, maybe only the acoustic version of Sleeping Beauty.

Yeah me too. I'm hopeful though we would get a digital copy of it to justify the delivery delay and the price of the package.

As for the new song, I like it. Thank god I still have that Amazon MP3 $1 credit.

....makes me feel old, that this is their first new song in a decade...

i never listened to eMotive...i was psyched for it until i learned that maynard didn't handle all of the vocal duties, so i just ended up forgetting about it...

It's worth a listen. The tracks Maynard does, he does well. Billy does really well, too.

Moving in and out of the shadows.
    It's no easier mission,
Holding on to how I picture you.
    Showing only bits and pieces,
    Till the tide betrays you,
    And your empty elocution.
Searching your eyes for a hint or a trace of humility.
Searching your eyes for the saint is an act of futility.
Searching your eyes for a hint or a trace of it.
    Searching your eyes for humility.
Searching your eyes for a hint or a trace,
    I'm still searching, searching.
    Showing only bits and pieces,
    Till the life betrays you,
    And your empty elocution.
Rode the Piper by and down the river.
    Carcass crippled underneath,
    The pounding waves of adoration.
Pied Piper float on down the river.
    Bloated carcass crippled me,
    The weight of adoration.
Moving in and out of the shadows.
    It's no easy mission,
Holding on to how I pictured you

I enjoy the first third and the last third of the song. The middle falls flat for me, though I remember it being better live.

funny how the vocal approach and general soupiness of the song make it sound right at home with the latest Puscifer alt rock stuff (most of Conditions of My Parole).

i hadn't listened to By and Down until the studio version showed up, and now... i could go for a new APC album like this. it takes me back to Mer de Noms. it reminds me of everything i liked about that album and this band.

I think this is the best thing Maynard has done since the 13th step. Song is really good. I could get behind another album sounding like this. I can not imagine fans of APC not liking this. This is absolutely a return to form, and I'm the last person to say anything nice about Maynard.

Great song, it was a strange feeling listening to it and thinking about how different things were when I last listened to new, original APC material for the first time. I reeeeally hope there is more to come.

Yes! At this rate, we'll have a new song in 8 years. They will have done 3 tours in the mean time, with that single new song.

    A few details about 360:

It looks like it's the original version of The Hollow and not the 2001 mix. And, apparently, People Are People Live won't be coming from the Live boxset but from a recording from 2004. They played that song back then?

That's clearly a typo since they didn't play the song live before 2010.
