With one person in the US getting their preorder, I take it there's no bonus extra in the package?

Yes, there's a white label CD of the vinyl. And the joy of knowing you helped support a band directly.

A crack? I'd take a picture and write to modlife, see if they'll send you a non-broken one

a $30 shirt to make up for the inconvenience (poor thing!) from a tiny superficial crack on your free, bonus CD?

That's not a bonus from the band, those are in every copy of the vinyl, regardless of where you buy it from.

It's stilla bonus extra. They said before the preorders were even up that there'd be nothing special extra, so I chose to be facetious.

Hm, wonder what accounts for the drop -- more direct sales? does that number include digital?

    Those are only physical sales.

I'm trying to find digital sales but no luck.
Currently #6 on iTunes Electronic album chart.

Well Hell. Received the WO vinyl today and guess what? They shorted me one. I ordered two and they only sent one. D'oh!

Already emailed modlife to hopefully make it up.

Amazon confirmed I should receive my vinyl copy on Saturday (today if you're in the UK), but since it's being delivered to the office I won't get it until Monday as it's being processed to a business address. Can't freaking wait to get this!

This album has exceed my expectations, it's been playing constantly since I got it on the day of it's release, especially whist I've been working on post-processing photos. Perfect.

Finally got my confirmation e-mail from modlife so I'm expecting to probably get it Tuesday. Perfectly fine, as I'll have two copies now. Great album, just too bad modlife kinda suck.

Anyone got a favourite track yet? Mine's We Fade Away. So mellow, and the guitar is so simple but sublime.

My favorite tracks (that weren't already featured on An Omen): And The Sky Began To Scream, How Long?, Strings and Attractors, and We Fade Away.

Do they really not count digital sales in the year 2013? :/

I don't think they count sales direct from HTDA's store either.

One of the big problems with calculating digital sales is that a lot of online retailers don't publish their sales figures. I think that's the case with iTunes.

    Re: Sigil 04_: Welcome oblivion

I hate to be the one to burst anyone's bubble but the Billboard 200 counts physical and digital sales and has for quite some time.

If it counts modlife sales is a different story. It should since modlife sells cds from other artists but it might not.

So in summary the Billboard 200 number counts iTunes and Amazon Mp3 but may not count modlife.

    Sigil 04_: Welcome oblivion

My vinyl, which I may never actually listen to showed up this morning.

For the people who are ripping the white label CD to put on their IPods, how are you tagging the album art? Are you replicating the changing artwork, per the official download version, or doing one consistent image for all the tracks?

If you're going to manually add album art, you may aswell go the whole hog, and for the two extra tracks just use a couple of the art variations

another interesting question to me is at what point it would count presale figures for items that haven't shipped yet.
