Is anyone going to do an HD rip of the Coachella stream? I would, except both my computer and my internet connection are too far behind the times to pull it off

In my experience of all youtube livestreams, the stream is posted to channel the moment it ends. However, it's still probably a good idea to at least do a screencapture or audio recording, just in case.
The words you are using are frightening me. What we must do is lossless capture with the numberous tool we have (tubemaster & replay media catcher). Don't do same errors they did with Faith No More return, sharing an analog dvd of a stream, producing triple lossy compression.
Someone managed to get a really decent rip of the Refused show at last year's Coachella. I'm guessing it's possible.
I'm also betting on the show in San Fran being recorded and aired on AXS tv. I was hoping they'd broadcast it live, but they likely won't hit the stage until 9 PST, and AXS will be broadcasting a GWAR show live at that same time.
For archival purposes (http://ninshirts.com), I'm interested in the merch they have on sale at these shows. My initial guess will be a selection of the existing merch available on their store now along with at least one tour shirt and poster.
Preview Of The Live Show:
Wow.
......
Holy crap, that looks awesome!
Is that a different mix of the loop closes or already a live/rehearsal version?
This kind of presentation makes me wonder if I should try all that hard to get to the very front.
I've got a pre-sale ticket, but should I maybe just try to get more in the middle of the crowd to see the visuals?
I agree, I'm not sure I wanna be front and center for this show - it might be hard to see what's going on. Especially with all the equipment on stage. All I can say though is that I am extremely excited now. NO MORE SPOILERS for me.
hmm...I'm actually starting to regret not arranging a trip to see one of these shows...shit.
It may have been asked but will anyone be ripping the HD live stream?
I'm sure someone will. I may even do it if I feel so inclined at the time.
Is there a hashtag on Twitter for the show tonight?
#destroyangels should do, as the NowPlaying tweets and all that won't cover it. But there's no "official" one.
It has begun.

Hopefully someone got a picture of the merch table, and the presale tickets from last night.

Yeah, my bad...wasn't aware of the presale tix! Do tell, plzthx0x!!! :D
Fuck yeah! /\ That 's sick!!
Is it just me or is the whole "concert spoilers" thing a bit pretentious_? I understand it for a concept show that has a plot (Alice Cooper, Roger Waters' The Wall, that kinda thing), but from what I've seen it's just ... really cool? Like, I'm not seeing anything that is so mind blowing that knowing in advance could diminish enjoyment, which is what a spoiler is after all, just really impressive live effects. Considering they're manipulated live from stage too, they won't even be the same every night - and for SURE won't be if they have a dynamic setlist.
People here complained when Welcome Oblivion song titles were 'spoiled' so go figure
Shit on a shingle, I just realized that the GWAR show on AXS is being aired at midnight Wednesday night/Thursday morning, a full 24 hours before the San Fran show. Hope for a live broadcast of the concert still lives!
Anyone else thinks Keep It Together as the 2nd song on the setlist is kind of a buzz kill?
