^^Really? It def sounds different but i think they nailed it. As far as the studio version goes, the break in the middle might be my favorite part of the entire album TDS. Its just perfect, the acoustics, backround machinery noises and the annie line...and then it just blows up.
yeah i wanted it to have more power behind the guitars. it just sounded flimsy to me overall.

The tour will likely differ from festival setlists that seem to be a pretty solid 'Greatest Hits' representation of the catalog. These tickets I have better be for 'March of the Pigs,' 'Wish,' 'Discipline' and 'Head Like A Hole.' Ain't gonna lie. 'Ripe,' 'Only-' those songs can remain on the CDs, thank you!
Right now, that's what my ultimate extended dream setlist for tension would look like from what we've heard already and what I personally think could work:
01. copy of a
02. dissapointed

I see "SunSpots" on a lot of peoples' lists. I am very curious why this has never been played along with one of my other favorites "Where Is Everybody?" I heard a few people here at one of the concerts here a few years back (Vancouver maybe?) saying they heard them during warm-ups play "Sunspots" but it must have not sounded right to Trent....Don't understand the hatred either from him for "Where Is Everybody?"
People's dream lists contain songs precisely because they haven't been played, or are rarely played. Just because they aren't played or played often doesn't mean Trent hates them. In the case of TPD band members have said a few times that it just didn't sound good live, they couldn't get it to gel into a setlist, etc.

In my dreams, I know. But it's perfect; all the normal live staples, and several surprises as well. Although it probably needs a bit of tweaking to shorten the setlist, as 30+ songs a night would be death.
Given that it's a confirmed 4 piece, and the direction is more YZ/Fragile and eletronic in nature.. here is a setlist I'd love to see on this tour.
1. Tetsuo the Bullet Man (starts off with Ally on stage knob twisting. TR slowly revealed in the fog as the piano starts just after the 1 minute mark. At the 1:35ish mark when the buzzing starts Robin swiftly enters from stage right. An epic drone session to set the tone for the evening)

Well ive been thinking about this for awhile, so i dug into my live NIN collection, opened up audacity and made a setlist that i could actually listen to! I had to set a narrow focus for this because if I put together my "dream" NIN setlist it would be 4+ hours long, so I chose only SBD or near SBD quality sources. I wanted to originally used Now Im Nothing/Terrible Lie as the opener, but I couldnt find a good enough source, and the version of Copy of A is a matrix I made of mine and JBs tape of the St. Paul Tension show. Dint turn out too bad for my first attempt at something like that! Its a little odd hearing conversations you remember, and then people you have never heard before talking! Anyways, I went with the old NIN show format, explosive intro, slows down tempo wise before it picks up again. Real high energy song before the middle "quiet" section, and then back to some more mid paced stuff before the last tracks. Then of course a classic encore. If you really want to hear my mix, pm me but i wont post links here cuz I used official audio sources, along with some creative editing/mixing on some of these tracks. (which I do like doing this stuff, kinda like making Mix Tapes for your friends back in the day. I dint have a CD burner till like 02, lol)
show starts old school like with the drop curtian in front of the stage
