I wonder how he decides to go unmasked or incognito.
I wonder how he decides to go unmasked or incognito.
For anyone interested, Chicago Open Air currently has a deal going for buy-one-get-one-free GA Field tickets. The code is LOVEROCK, but I tried it several times with different browsers and it doesn't seem to be working yet...
I randomly checked the Ghost online store (much like I do the NIN store) and it appears almost everything is back in stock. Just grabbed the Tiger's Eye colored vinyl for Ceremony and Devotion. Anyway, check it out!

Woohoo!
I hope they win a Grammy again this Sunday. Tobias said he's going to go unmasked. He said last time when they went in costume, there was a lot of security hovering around them and made them take off their masks, so he doesn't want to go through that again. Don't the Grammy's know who they're inviting? Didn't Slipknot go in masks once?
Haha I like that Slipknot bit.
They lost both nominations to St. Vincent (who the hell is that??) and Greta Van Fleet. I don't know how I feel about it.....
St. Vincent is good but Greta Van Fleet suck. I don’t care they didn’t win. The Grammies are shit anyways. They don’t validate anything.
Does anyone know what day Ghost is playing at Heavy Montreal? Please say Saturday as I am going to be up there Friday and Saturday that weekend. But knowing my luck, they will headline the Sunday show... argh....
Nevermind, I answered my own question. They are playing Saturday.... SCORE.....

Cardinal Copia will continue on the new Ghost album
Amazing how he just keeps banging out and working on new stuff constantly.

I am a pretty new fan, so I am positive you all picked up on this LONG ago. But anyway, I was listening to Con Clavi Con Dio the other day because I find myself appreciating Opus Eponymous more and more with each listen. There are lyrics in there that gave me an "Oh My fn GOD moment!" They are "A Demi God, Our Task, Behind mask, Chosen Son" and "Satanas, We are one, out of three, Trinity." So reading into those lyrics, he planned 3 Papas from the very beginning, like almost from the very first song and basically describes the birth of Cardinal Copia. It blew my fn mind. It is moments like that make me love this band more and more. So, I do not doubt at all that he knows exactly where he wants he next record to go and probably has a rough draft for the next few records. Dude is brilliant.

Looks like we're getting a US tour announcement soon!
I wonder if it'll be when they're touring with Metallica - or did that happen already? Not keeping track
That’s been happening overseas. Metallica was just here (in the states) last year. This is either a new headlining tour or a Blu-ray/DVD tour documentary. I believe Forge said they were planning one in an interview sometime in the last 6 months.
Edit: Here’s a high-resolution file of the poster they posted to their Facebook & website:

Impressive that they think they can do arenas even in the C markets. Shows how big they've gotten, or this will be a spectacular failure. I imagine the former.
Hey Sioux falls is no c market!
Does anybody know if the artist presale codes have been sent out? I'm assuming that they just come from the bands mailing list.
I'll try that tomorrow.
Regardless, BECAUSE I LIVE IN A "C" MARKET , I doubt I'll have trouble getting GA. I was able to get it for Avenged Sevenfold at the same venue and they are 10x more popular here in Sioux Falls than Ghost.
I would rather this show be at The District because I have a feeling it's going to be 2/3rds empty like the last Monday Night Raw taping I went to at the Premier Center. (fuck Sanford and his attempts to buy himself a charitable legacy after making a fortune ripping people off with sub-prime lending scams in the 80s)
Hmm I'm starting to think the "artist" code hasn't been sent out yet, I have no emails (I'm on their mailing list) and I can't find anything online
I opted for "ULTIMATE TOUR NAMED DEATH PACKAGE" They sold me on the Ghost socks. I love cool socks.
Artist password is DEATH for Worecster.
There is a rumor additional dates will be added soon. Fingers crossed. I'm surprised there's no NYC show! I'm out of luck this tour.

Meh, at these prices nothing is jumping out at me to spend that kinda coin. I'll stick to the regular priced ticket.
I have never bought an artist VIP show before. I think the only 2 bands I would ever do it for would be NIN and/or Rammstein.
I'm actually shocked R+ haven't jumped on that boat yet. Seems like something they would do. Went to the John 5 show this weekend, and there was a paper at the merch table saying after show photo with John5, $65..... $65 for a photo? No thanks.

Live Nation code is VIBES. Other codes: DEATH and FAITH
And yeah, I went with regular GA floor tickets. My friends didn't want to spend that much money. It IS a lot. Maybe next time...
I know they can charge whatever they want, and since they're becoming more popular there's more demand - but damn, those prices are high. When I did the VIP when Papa 3 was around, it was $250.00. Still expensive, but reasonable. With all the merch too.
