This seems to be the right place to post this, but I actually like how people post threads about individual musicians and bands in this section. In some music sections of other forums, all of the threads are sometimes not about individual musicians, and even if they are, they always seem to include a song title, album title, or tour title, which is very unnecessary in my opinion. That's what I appreciate about both thread and the way The Musical Revolution is handled here. (And not that there's anything wrong with genre threads, but it is a very organized music section compared to some or even most forums.)
I wasn't going to bother posting Vanilla Ice since it was locked anyway, and I'm considering not posting threads if they only have a very small number of posts: Shakira has only 4 and Hawkins only one (and that was you!)
@jmtd - That Vanilla Ice thread is actually a new one. I just made it yesterday, and it seems to be doing better. I hope it gets more replies too.
It just plainly says Vanilla Ice on it, just to show you that it's not the locked thread. I'd definitely appreciate it if it was listed, as I always wanted to revive that topic and allow it to have a much better chance.

i reckon you should still post all artist links. if a topic only has a few posts and gets buried without being archived here, we run the risk of someone else starting a thread on that same artist/band. a quick merge for the mods, sure... but might as well keep it as thorough as possible.
speaking of, since you said you don't have much time, i'll start/maintain a genre/catch-all thread so you can remove the ones here when it's up and running. i can maintain it as i'm generally on here all day while at work.
I suppose you could say that I've been thread happy. (And can get thread happy.)
Spineshank
I just thought I'd do the honors, since it certainly deserves a spot here.
Velvet Underground/Lou Reed
Can someone add the Mike Patton / Faith No More / Tomahawk threads please? I almost added a new thread, although I decided to search because I couldn't believe there wouldn't be one for Faith No More somewhere
Frigglesworth, the edit box is busticated for me atm. Will try later. Need to add
Manic Street Preachers
Edit: still busted for the big posts, in more than one browser. Shite, I guess we've hit some kind of limit or bug in the board software. I'll have to quote-reply then copy the results back or something.
Edit: yay ok that worked, a bit fiddly but on we go!

Can someone add:
The Melvins ?

Poke poke. The Skinny Puppy hyperlink in the first page list leads to oHgr's solo thread rather than here.

Someone add Black Sabbath: http://www.echoingthesound.org/commu...-Black-Sabbath
Afterthought: how come Black Sabbath and The Melvins (my contributions to this list) did not have a page linked in this thread, and hacks like Miley Cyrus and Natalia Imbruglia had a page before the aforementioned legends of music (nothing personal, @Kris )?

Oh, no problem. It's all good. I admit that I have more than a fair share of threads like that, and it's fine if you dislike them.
Hi, I've had a request to remove '/related' from the Green Day entry. It seems relevant to me, there are Green Day side projects and it would be better if they were discussed in the GD thread than in separate ones, so I've left it in for the time being. Does anyone have an opinion on the issue? (PS: the person who asked me has disabled receiving PMs so I couldn't reply to them privately, but I think it's better this is discussed in the open anyway)
Add Baroness: http://www.echoingthesound.org/commu.../1072-Baroness
Could you add The XX, por favor?
Please add LCD Soundsystem
Sorry I’ve got some catching up to do
Edit: OK caught up I think

I just made the Puddle of Mudd thread, but thought that I'd put it in here before I forget to do so.

@jmtd - I'm sorry. It also turns out that I actually forgot to include The Romantics and Stray Cats. Anyway, it would be definitely appreciated please.
My bad yet again.
