Just finished watching this... not a bad little movie.
I disagree. I would like to have that beard someday though.
BRIDGERTON!
Regency splendor OMG I’m in LOVE!
Thanks to Johnny Weir for turning me on to this.
OMG. I LOVE JOHNNY WEIR! He’s always been one of my favorite figure skaters, but he’s also just one of the coolest people on the planet. His IG feed is THE BEST (especially his “Quas” lol).
Still have not gotten around to “Spinning Out.” Reviews say Johnny is the only worthwhile part of it.
I’ve been watching Johnny and Tara commentate the US Championships the last few nights in Vegas! So great to see them together again!
Did you watch him on Dancing with the Stars? OMG he was AWESOME!

i had no idea they were commentating on anything that's currently happening! i hope i can find some of that online somewhere. where has it been airing?
have you watched Wedding Cake Championship on food network? not sure if it's still on their app (or on the cooking channel app) especially with discovery+ (BARF) launching, but if you can find it, johnny & tara host it and it's (mostly) really fun.
Nationals are on NBCSN, plus Peacock:

Fuck yeah, more Carmen Sandiego.
Bridgerton: WTF.
It ended up being kinda Nancy Drew meets Jane Austin meets soft porn.
Aaaaaaaand now THE biggest Netflix series in history.

Cast of Neil Gaiman's "The Sandman" series announced.
Do not. Do NOT fuck this up.
David Fincher is directing an assassin movie titled The Killer for Netflix (the first project of his exclusive four-year deal he signed with them) with Michael Fassbender being eyed for the lead role. I'm excited by the sound of all of that, but it also got me thinking how likely it is that he'll tap TR & AR for the score again! I'm hoping they're already on board for the score and that we get more of the aggressive kind of stuff we got in the Watchmen score!
Finished watching S1 of L.A.'s Finest ...
We both liked it a lot. Strong characters. Looking forward to S2...
I'm glad he's doing features again, instead of messing around with longer-format storytelling like he did with Mindhunter. This particularly sounds intriguing as it's gone into areas he's been in before, but he'll surely bring something new to the hit-man subgenre.
This movie does sound right up his alley, and I'm definitely glad he's making another movie, but Mindhunter was amazing. It took me a few episodes to really get into Mindhunter, but that show is SO GOOD and it absolutely deserves a conclusion and a pay-off to the whole BTK subplot it's been building toward. I hope Fincher finds the time to return to it and finish what he started. I'm not sure I trust anyone else to take over in his place. MAYBE Sam Esmail of Mr. Robot if we can't get Fincher.
Mindhunter is flipping fantastic! I hope he finishes it. At least give us one more season to wrap up stuff. I absolutely love this show.
Just caught up with Cobra Kai, any opinions?
I thought it followed a similar trajectory to Stranger Things: first season was one of the best pieces of TV I've seen this decade; subsequent ones are ok but disappointing compared with the first run.
I love it. All 3 seasons. Comparing it to Stranger Things is unfair imo. Stranger Things is actual art. I'm not saying it's Citizen Kane, but there's real storytelling, real acting, bigger budget...craft. Cobra Kai is cheesy fun nonsense, with a huge scoop of nostalgia for those that grew up with the films. There's no budget. The acting is generally decent to abysmal, with a few exceptions. I guess b/c I don't take Cobra Kai seriously at all but still adore it, I can't see any downswing from season to season.
One thing they do have in common is the complete lack of police/security when the biggest, most violent set pieces of the season are taking place (think about the mall scenes from the finale of Stranger Things this past season). And in Cobra Kai, some of these kids need to go to actual prison for the aggressive first degree assaults they perpetrated. Cobra Kai threw that one Miyagi-Do kid through a fucking window! Tori could legit be charged with attempted murder for what she did in season 2 with the claw. Show is hilarious.
I really disliked I Car A Lot. It's been a while since I despised a movie so much. Spoiler: There were no likeable characters at all, and the ending was completely unsatisfactory.
Finished up Part 3 of Disenchantment tonight (another 10 episodes)... still a show has many, many issues but it makes me laugh.
Watched all of this today... I liked it. Hadn't heard of the case before either...
I'm only halfway through. Having grown up in the suburbs of Boston, we heard about this a lot, for many years. Really enjoying it.
Also if you like museums at all and have a chance to go to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, I highly recommend it. It's a really cool place.
Netflix Nabs Post-PVOD Streaming Rights to Sony's Feature Films in Multiyear Deal
For theatrically released films, the five-year pact will begin with Sony's 2022 slate, which includes Morbius, Uncharted, Bullet Train and the sequel to the Oscar-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. In the future, it will also cover installments from major Sony franchises like Jumanji and Bad Boys. Sources tell THR that the deal is worth roughly $1 billion to Sony.

LOVE DEATH + ROBOTS VOLUME 2 coming in May.
LOVE DEATH + ROBOTS VOLUME 3 coming in 2022.
Really enjoyed some of the shorts, can't wait to see what mind-fucks they have planned for us this time.
I have a theory that there is a prank going on, where you have to convince your friends that Money Heist is a good show. There is no other explanation to why its so popular. This is some of the dumbest shit I've ever seen, and I loved Prison Break, so I am no stranger to origamis and dumb cops. But this is something else. Blind snipers, most stereotypical dumb female lead, dumbest male lead, character building through random chats about childhood, and a whole lotta empty threats. Seriously, if you want to watch a show about meaningless threats, watch this one. Usually, if you see a mexican standoff, you're like "oooooohhhh shiiiiiiiiiiiit". In this show? If it didn't happen at least twice then it's a miracle.
I'm nearly finished with season 2, but holy shit, it is beyond me how can people think this is a good show. It's very funny, it's entertaining, but the same way Sharknado is. The best description I read about this is that it's a high budget telenovella. Strip away the budget and all you have are a couple of people who are constantly arguing with eachother and switching personalities three times during an episode.
Here's my guide to the series: if you ever find yourself wondering if someone will die or at least come through with their threats, then the answer is no.
Prison Break was bad. It's was like Dexter - it started off really good, then it's ending was totally terrible.
I liked Money Heist, but it was definitely drawn out too long.
