Probably not the best starting point. I'd recommend Returning Jesus or Schoolyard Ghosts. Those are a little more faster (but not by a whole lot) in comparison.

Yeah maybe, though I'm not sure if it's the 'slowness' of the record that's bugging me. Perhaps I just need to give it more time.
Steven announced on his Facebook that Chad Wackerman would be taking over drum duties for the North and South American tours, as Marco is set to tour with Joe Satriani (I know, lame) around that same time.
Extensive interview with Steven about the album. He also says reissues of PT's Yellow Hedgegrow Dreamscape and In Absentia (this one with Blu-ray) are coming this year. Also interviewed are Alan Parsons, Theo Travis and Nick Beggs.

Here it is in HD
The Storm Corrosion album lost to an album you can't even find on Amazon. Typical.
Fuck the Grammys, they know about music as much i know about Phrenology...
Trent and Atticus winning sort of makes up for this, so I'm not too sore about it. Plus I'm sure he'll be nominated next year for the new album.
My bad, it is actually on Amazon.

Holy shit...
Well, it's come out today and is currently the #1 Rock album on iTunes.

You probably know this, but that was a fan's letter obviously. I think it was at a Blackfield show.
got the new album yesterday and i love it so far. haven't had a chance to listen in 5.1, yet.
That picture has me questioning my sexuality. I'm weirdly aroused by it.
ok, now i'm listening in DTS 96/24 5.1 and HOLY FUCKING SHIT this album is amazing.
i wish there was a mac version of the program that will allow you to time-stretch audio like that...
also, i'd honestly be ok with no more PT stuff. i feel like steven has been going in a direction i enjoy quite a bit more, but the incident was also a pretty great album on which to end a band's run.
I couldn't resist and i took a peek to the recent set lists... let's just say im very hyped and impressed!
Blu-ray.com review, for anyone curious about the 5.1 mix which I've heard is very very good.
beautiful.
Not sure I get why Steven picks up the bass towards the end (other than to possibly show off, that's four instrument changes in one freaking song!). I suppose I should do a review of the album soon. It's been on my mind a little lately.
The album it's so perfect it's sickening, Lol...
I'm going to that Opeth/SW show in Albany next weekend. Sweet mercy, I'm looking forward to that.
