Legend has it they're still going to this day.
Legend has it they're still going to this day.
Tony Khan just fired CM Punk so it just added up, as many of you eluded to.
I wish it could’ve worked out but I understand and this won’t make me stop watching AEW by any means.
That’s the news.

100000000% the right move. Thank fucking god. Have fun in WWE where Vince will absolutely not allow you to run the show by any means whatsoever.
good riddance!
I didn’t think Tony had it in him lmaooo
And it all started over COLT CABANA.
Good fucking riddance.
The best part is that maybe it'll end the tribalism in this thread (and on any wrestling site in general), thank god
Gotta say after the night Judgment Day had, I'm genuinely pretty surprised Damian didn't cash in on Rollins after the Nakamura match. That bloody snot rocket from Rhea during her match was so awesomely gnarly, too. Gotta rewatch the first couple of hours of Payback since I watched Collision beforehand, but the hour I saw of Payback it seemed like a pretty good show.
The more I read and examine things, the thing I keep coming back to is that nobody wanted this to work more than Tony Khan. The WB deal. The drawing power. That he was clearly a huge fan. And he fired Punk.
That incident had to be really bad. And it just wasn’t going to work.
Personally, I am still bummed out about it. I really wanted this to work. I love wrestling and a lot of wrestlers but there’s nobody aside from maybe KO that I connected with more than Punk. I do not think it would be a good thing for him to return to WWE after what those people did to him. I could change my mind.
Maybe I’ll have more to say as more things come out as they undoubtedly will but I think for now, that’s kind of it. Trevor Dame has said it better than I have.
It’ll be interesting to see what becomes of Collision now. Early word is that everyone can work either show now. I hope that the differences remain between Dynamite and Collision. It’s what made them each special to me.
It's sad, like him or hate him, he's one of the last true stars of this generation (along Bryan and The Shield), but he fucked up, all he needed is to be the top guy on his show, but even that wasn't enough for him.
I'm mad we didn't get to see 2 feuds that would have been awesome in AEW: a revival of his rivalry with Bryan Danielson and a feud with MJF to determine the "real" AEW champion (maybe this time a heel Punk vs a face MJF).
To me this only leads to two paths: either a return to the WWE or retirement, i hope it's the second one, but nothing's certain at this point...

I was actually surprised by how evenly split the chicago crowd was during All Out. I expected full house non-stop booing for Phil all night long, but man, you've really fucked up when half of your hometown crowd seems happy that you're gone.
Lowkey match of the night for All Out was Miro vs Hobbs. Also, Payback really kicked ass and I hope WWE and AEW continue to have PLEs on the same weekend because it's honestly such a fun way to spend the weekend.
Another awesome promo by Swerve. That should be a fun feud.
More releases from the bad place. I feel bad for all except Top Dolla who not only is bad at wrestling but also shit talked AEW so I imagine unless Swerve really goes to bat and the Bucks forgive it, he’s looking at Impact, NWA OR MLW.
I imagine there’ll be more folks gone especially at NXT.
Shelton, Mustapha and Ziggler are great talents that didn't deserve this, but makes sense.
I honestly had no idea that Emma still was on the company...
Why does Nia get a job but Elias and Ziggler don't?
Matt Riddle’s gone as well.
I’d guess this has more to do with his behavior than any budgetary or performance thing.
Jade officially to WWE. If she maintains her rate of improvement, I don't think it's too far out of the realm of possibilities to see a Bianca vs Jade main event at Mania in 2025...
Dirt sheets keep saying Adam Copeland is close to signing and ending his career at the wet fart place. That's a huge shame.
MJF straight up exposing Jay White. You love to see it. So much truth.

Finally finished up this season of Dark Side of the Ring...
So compelling episodes... some, definitely not so much.
All the big stories were covered already. Some feel like scraping the bottom of the barrel. A good chunk of these this last season were generic biography episodes. Junkyard Dog had a sad fate but it was just a DUI/car crash death. It sucks but it's not harrowing like some of the stuff you'd imagine that should be covered based on the title "Dark Side of the Ring."
Also new news, can't say I'm thrilled. Did not watch or want AEW originally to watch people I've seen for over 20 years in various forms elsewhere. Jut doing WCW/WWF all over again.
It’s not the get TK thinks it is, for certain.
Wrestledream was very good overall, I thought.
