Make love - Inside your HEAD
Which I always took for mindfucking. Then I found out it was bed. And I left disappointed.
The Collector: I am the pig! I am the swarm!
Actual lyrics: I am the plague! I am the swarm!
@BenAkenobi - Thanks again for pointing that out for me. That was funny, and a little bit embarrassing, might I add.

I gotta pay more attention to the lyrics:
Got money. HLAH
Turn out the lights. TL
Im okay, Im on crack. ED
Im just an insect. MSD
Me and my forgiven(?) BMWAG
A couple days ago I was listening to "Vessel" and it occurred to me that a person could mishear "my God, can it go any faster?" as "my car, can it go any faster?" Or it could sound like "my God, can I cum any faster?" which is hilarious when you think about the next line, which is "my God, I don't think I can last here."

"I am a vampire and I will swallow it whole, swallow it whole swallow it whole!"
"Me I'm Not"
This song always makes me laugh because I can't hear anything but Trent asking the driver to make a stop to buy some candy. The whole song supports this and is a clear statement about his inner fight with his candy addiction:
well it's happening
never planned on this
you've got something I need
kind of dangerous
and I'm losing control
I'm not used to this
what you want from me
I'm not used to this
I can't shut it off
this thing I've begun
and it's hard to tell
just where it's coming from
and it's hard to see
what I'm capable of
and it's hard to believe
just, what I've become
hey, candy stop?
me, I'm not
hey, candy stop?
me, I'm not
hey, candy stop?
me, I'm not
hey, candy stop?
me, I'm not
I can swallow it down
keep it all inside
I define myself
by how well I hide
I feel it coming apart
well, at least I tried
I can win this war
by knowing not to fight
if I take it all back
someway, somehow
if I knew back then
what I know right now
hey, candy stop?
me, I'm not
hey, candy stop?
me, I'm not
hey, candy stop?
me, I'm not
hey, candy stop?
me, I'm not

Starfuckers, Inc.
Actual: "Now I belong. I'm one of the chosen ones. Now I belong. I'm one of the beautiful ones."
What I keep hearing: "Don't argue. I'm one of the chosen ones. Don't argue. I'm one of the beautiful ones."
I always heard the line in Physical as "I want your rough ass, baby." Still do.
"I got my propaganda" as "I've got motherfucking law" in Survivalism.

I don't mind
I'm okay
Where's your daddy?
On just about every live version of The Hand That Feeds I've heard I swear Trent sounds like he's singing "Will you bite the ham that feeds you"
Mr Self Destruct
Actual: "You let me do this to you. You let me do this to you."
What I keep hearing: "You made me do this to you. You made me do this to you."
Closer
Actual: "Help me become somebody else!"
What I keep hearing: "Help me think I'm somebody else!"
I Would For You
Actual: "See I keep lying to myself!"
What I keep hearing: "See I could die into myself!"
Yeah, I've also noticed that I'm not alone there, especially with the misheard lyrics for Closer and I Would For You.

A few weeks ago in the car my daughter asked me to put the song 'came back home Ted' on, took me ages to realise what it was and now that's all I hear when it's on
Down In It:
Way before properly getting into NIN, I misheard "I was up above it" as "House of the bullet" after hearing it on the radio.
Year Zero - Meet Your Master
Goddamn Julien! Gunna make you cum faster!
Even though I know the correct words to this one, I always hear it as this, too. And it's horrible because I love to run to this song, but every time it comes up in my playlist I usually skip over it, because if I do get to the chorus I end up busting out laughing mid-run. It gets me every. single. time.
Down in It. My friend always thought "I was up above it" was "hours of a bullet".
Damn it. Thanks to this thread, I hear "I want your rough ass, baby" I just lol'd on the bus because of it.
After 20 or so years I'm still not hearing "In this world full of you" but "In this world for you". The "correct" version doesn't even make as much sense as "for you".
...and nothing can stop me now
there's nothing to do (fear)
and everything I'd ever want
is inside of you (here)
Considering so much of Broken deals with conformity, comparing society to a machine and everyone being a drone, I've always taken "world full of you" to imply that everyone is the same, just copies of copies of copies.
Oh and also if you still view it as being about a singular person, then it makes sense if you remember the line on SICNH, "Everywhere I look you're all I see," with everything serving as a reminder as one person, hence a "world full of you." While I think the conformity version fits Broken best, either is totally likely.

After reading this thread, I can't unhear some of these misheward lyrics lol. l have always heard "I am going to call you" or "I am going to cull you" in Big Man with A Gun.
