i was expecting qotsa to be on the second soundwave announcement, but that's looking more unlikely now as i suspect the nin + queens tour across australia and new zealand will be jan/feb.
the production that is going on with tension 2013 is specifically for that tour, so i'm not holding my breath for anything overly significant production wise down here.
If only they could come to Greece a second time. One can dream, right?
it'd be pretty fucking cool to see NIN at Coachella.
I'm pretty sure when Trent was being interviewed by Zane Lowe that he also said we'd (Europe) be getting the full show, or am I wishfully imagining that?
^^He said 'all the trimmings' specifically, but that was before the whole Reading thing, lack of production / live stream etc. But then if they managed to fill somewhere big in Milan, why not?
Are you suggesting he'd penalise the UK for the Reading fiasco? I'd be miffed to put it mildly! Can't see it though, he's not that petty, and he's already explained that he knows there's a dichotomy between festival and headline shows. Fingers crossed, just wished he'd get on and announce the dates already!
if it could i would LOVE LOVE that to happen! as many nights at brixton as they could sell, I would go to several. I also think the new album would be better heard in a smaller venue rather than an enormodome, the funky stuff just seems like it needs good acoustics
Honestly, the latest festivals shows already have been the biggest overseas shows ever, production-wise. If they at least match it on 2014 tour then I'd be more than satisfied.
That's what I'm wondering. I was lucky enough to live in North America during the LITS tour and I'm not sure this type of production would fit in venues such as Brixton Academy or Zenith in Paris. From the clips I've seen, the Tension production doesn't seem as massive in terms of size so there's hope.
If they're playing down under, then it's likely they will do a few shows in Japan as well.
Latin America rumors keep getting stronger:
It will probably affect all three Lolla's, maybe we will get some local dates.
Dates for the joint NIN/QOTSA in Australia and NZ tour to be announced tonight by Frontier Touring...not sure what that means for the rest of the world.
nine inch nailsAustralia/New Zealand: NIN/@qotsa tour news coming at midnight (AEDT). Stay tuned... #NIN2014

Alright, April seems like a lock for South America then.
Wow. Awesome. With the first headline band on stage being decided each night by the toss of a coin, fans will want to make sure they’re at the ready for a big night from the minute doors open.
BRODY DALLE opening! Plus she'll be playing new tunes, Spinnerette AND Distillers songs.
