Done!
Hey guys, recently I discovered that Trent and John Carmack were interviewed by Wired back at E3 2002 and there was an audio version of the interview on Wired site back then. Archive.org have the page archived here
https://web.archive.org/web/20020603...52835,00.html#
But unfortunately, audio interview is missing from the archive.org
Do you guys know where I could find audio version of this interview? Or maybe someone archived it and can share it with me? Please, let me know.
My other question is were there any leaks of NIИ songs before they were released? I know that certain songs were “leaked” as a part of Year Zero ARG and saw that The Perfect Drug and Metal leaked as well, but maybe there were more leaks that I don’t know?
I went to the regular version of the page and used their "email us if this page is broken" link to send a message to see if they can restore it.
edit: the correct URL to the article on the live site is https://www.wired.com/2002/05/doom-i...story-to-tell/, but the page is still worthless.

I think Metal and Last (Butch Vig Remix) would have to be the most significant pre-release leaks, pre-dating any official release by years or decades.
There were some minor pre-release leaks (usually weeks or months before an album release) that were typical for the music industry post-Napster. For NIN in particular I believe that affected THTF and With Teeth.
If you can consider it a leak, Suck (Live) (recorded on either the Hate or Sin tour) was released by TVT on its Sampler Summer 1991, over a year before the studio version was released on Broken. Relatedly, Wish and Physical were played on tour over a year before their album release. Also, Not So Pretty Now and Non-Entity being played live well before an official release.
The Broken movie, I guess, would qualify as a leak.
There's the Queen remix on a mixtape that Trent gave out.
No. Here's some information about the leak, and apparently, The Line Begins to Blur leaked out shortly after that too, which i'd forgotten:

I remember hearing the TLBTB yelling intro and thought "well, it's a low quality leak, the voice will be better" but that's just how it sounds for real
Does anyone have the short 2005/2006 tour videos from The Spiral?
My favorite leak was the Getting Smaller leak which the leaker (TR or RS, i'm sure) claimed it was stolen by a valet parking TR's car.
I actually don't remember the original source of this, but here are a few siterips from that era (varying levels of completeness), including what appears to be a complete rip of The Spiral site, with webpages and all. A couple of them are mostly just duds but were included from the source. There's too much for me to sort through to get just you the videos, and I'm sure others would appreciate getting the extra stuff. I've had them on my comp and haven't seen most of what's in there, I should take a trip through all of the photos sometime too.
For just getting the videos, if you plan on doing a file explorer search for file extensions, there are many videos in weird 00s-era formats. Watch out for that, as you might miss some. The folder structures of the site aren't too complicated from what I've seen, so you could just navigate around manually without too much terror.

I guess this nonsense can go here.
There was a recent podcast interview with TR/AR, and Trent made this bubbly pulse noise when describing Sorkin dialog.
Here it is in isolation, in case you want to use it as a notification noise on your phone. You could edit it to add delays to make an actual ringtone too, I guess.
I was wondering if anyone has a decent scan of the Absolute Nothing poster/advertisement? I would be forever grateful! ^.^
Cool! When I was setting up my archival site, I tried my best to let crawlers and scrapers get it all when I edited the html, php, etc. My site portraitofdecay.com and then later portraitofdecay.net is the source. When I archived the sites, I kept all original folder structures and url references intact. I edited all the html, php, etc to be relative URLs as much as possible to maintain the original design and references internally on my archival website. That's why you'll see additional "folders" of resources from other sites for resources linked in www.nin-thespiral.com.

Do we already have a clean copy of the 2002 MTV2 And All That Could Have Been special? I just found my original VHS copy, but I assume we have a better one kicking around somewhere?
Edit: [links removed, we have a better one]

Yes, there was one put together for ETS by ItsJustDave here: https://thepiratebay.org/description.php?id=4012466
Sourced from official promo VHS, seen here: https://web.archive.org/web/20170805...cablepromo.htm
I compared it side-by-side to your broadcast recording, and as expected, the promo-sourced one has better video and audio fidelity.
Does anyone here knows where I can download a HQ version of Deep?? I was going to download it as an mp3 from YouTube, but the quality is not that good.
Unfortunately, the album has not been made available digitally anywhere with a la carte tracks, so you have to buy the whole thing. Here are a couple options:
https://us.7digital.com/artist/vario...-raider-569857
https://www.qobuz.com/us-en/album/to.../0075679982582
Frankly, it'd probably be cheaper to buy a used CD of the album off of eBay or Amazon and rip it.
Does anyone have a link to that uncensored pdf quake file that was floating around there for a while... http://www.nindestruct.com/ has the censored one, and a pdf of the nin website explanation, but not the normal uncensored pdf file. Much appreciated! ^.^
(Nvm found it! https://archive.org/details/nin_quak...OCT19/mode/2up )

Hello everyone, I'm looking for two remix mixes that were available on Youtube but were unfortunately taken down:
Nine Inch Nails - "After All Is Said And Done Mix"
Nine Inch Nails - "After All Is Said And Done Mix" Part 2
I managed to find the first on Soundcloud here: https://soundcloud.com/gudamne/nine-...d-and-done-mix
The second mix used to be available here:
I'm unable to find the second anymore, unfortunately. Hopefully someone here may have it archived, possibly even in better-than-yt quality! Thank you!
There is an "Encoded, Tracked Out, and Tagged" version out there, but it's just a rip of the YouTube audio transcoded to 320 MP3. Here's the MP4s (audio+video) and M4As (audio only; remuxed AAC into M4A container using ffmpeg):
https://mega.nz/folder/a8YlwQKD#B6evoOgp7Rivz6B5sKQ8Ew
Thank you very much for the fast response! It's certainly what I was looking for, I didn't find any other version around other than the YouTube version.
Maybe we should try to contact the creator of the mixes to make sure best possible quality is available for the community, although he may have been working with remixes of not the greatest quality to begin with.
The creator is The Hiver - www.youtube.com/channel/UCfWDH7Eqeoi0ycptvHstCgQ
Do we also have a tracklist for the second part, by the way? I think it was there on the video description. I could find the description for the first part here https://soundcloud.com/gudamne/nine-inch-nails-after-all-is-said-and-done-mix
Thanks a lot!
