What's your name on there? blackholesun? or something different?

I love Funkysouls, you can find everything there.
I joined and made a post for my music for d/l on there in the electronic section.
Yup, I rarely post though. It's such a great site. 90% of the time, I can find leaks there before they hit anywhere else, besides like What.CD or something.

Do you have to be invited to What.CD? I don't see a register, only login

Unfortunately, yes. I don't have any invites at the moment, but if I get one I'll send it your way. There's a way you can "apply" for a membership, but luckily I didn't have to do that.

If you do happen to come across an invite, I'd be totally grateful man!
    Thanks!

I picked up the deluxe edition of Adore today and like the other deluxe editions, the packaging and artwork are beautiful. I'm listening to the mono version of the album now. At first I didn't understand the need for it, but I actually really like it--it has a more immediate, intimate, arguably warmer sound than its stereo counterpart.

Insanely, this isn't out in Canada until next week. Never had that happen before with a single musical release.

The reissue just confirms my belief that Waiting should have made the final cut. Such a beautiful song.

Quick peruse shows it's floating in the waters now for others looking. Going to be time to dive into all the discs here soon. I have some interest in the differences in the mono version.

I love Waiting... that an the electronic beat version of Blissed And Gone (which is not featured on the reissue)
Also love Eye... i'm a sucker for electronic Pumpkins
plus i enjoyed the Matt Walker stuff in this set, wish him and Billy worked more together
their collabs for the Ransom movie soundtrack were great

I dunno, I didn't really like the mono versions... mix felt too crowded.
Then again, I'd like to relisten to it as a proper FLAC rip if one ever turns up because m4a isn't the proper format for high quality.

<stickler mode on> m4a is a container format, not an audio codec. It could contain ALAC, which is equivalent to FLAC in quality terms. But I guess you mean AAC, which is what it's most likely to contain. Still 256k AAC is very high quality and if you have the standard of equipment necessary to hear the difference between that and FLAC in a double-blind listening test, good for you!

Yeah, it's definitely AAC and not ALAC... plus the overall mix is kinda brickwalled when it comes to the reissues. damn loudness war. that doesn't help the the monos. But working with music and audio production for over a decade, I can hear the difference between something like 256k and lossless. I would rather judge the mono version of the album in lossless quality. I'm hoping that will help because it sounds kinda messy in the quality that has leaked so far.

man, Billy really ruined "Eye" on this reissue... whatever he did to the mix, it sounds terrible.
looks like the original mix will be the go to for me.
he didn't improve on the original, but degraded it on this release.

Loving the new Adore reissue and I really appreciate it a whole lot more now. Considering the general public gave the album a lukewarm response, I'm pleased that so much time and effort was still given to this re-issue. Going to try to watch the DVD over the weekend.

The Mellon Collie re-release was over £130 at one point. I eventually paid something like £103 about a year after it came out!!

£130 is way, way too much. £103 is still way too much. I note it's $127 on amazon.com, or about £78, so much less than the marketed price to the UK. And yet IMHO *still* too much.
