Well, at the very least, I'm happy to report that they made that amateur web design mistake of using the browser to resize fairly huge images.

Well spotted.
that was awesome.Sometime before the end of the 20th century, Syd (Spirit of Apollo / Jodorowsky's Dune) Garon and I found ourselves with the keys to an unoccupied edit studio for 2 days. This tribute to Gojira (cut to a JG Thirwell remix of a NIN track) was the result.
I don't remember this being posted before, but it probably was. Either way, I thought I saw all commercials featuring and mentioning Nine Inch Nails until now. This 91X commercial was from 1997, and it has Head Like A Hole on it, and it ends with Marilyn Manson's The Beautiful People.
Uhh, I'm not going to post the actual link because I'm at work but I found this on Reddit.
A porno spoof of HTDAs The Space in Between video clip... Obviously NSFW

This has begun making the rounds: http://9gag.com/gag/anY3VOz?ref=fb.s
What show is that from? Is it even genuine? It looks like a recent show. Trent obviously has a great sense of humour, but I wouldn't have expected him to use what is pretty much one of Meathead's ideas.
Pretty sure it's been used during LITS (The Great Destroyer) a lot. Someone was just lucky to capture this image from a series fast blinking strobe images.
Yup, it was during TGD during LITS. Like follow mentioned, someone got lucky capturing it since it was a split second image- this one has been around awhile. IIRC they used it as a bit of a prank.
Seeing it live a few times in '08 I sure as hell couldn't/didn't notice it during the song.
Sadly people will only ever see it as an embarassing technical fuck-up instead of what it actually is. I'm an offender myself, years ago I shared it on FB with the oh so clever "Nine Inch Fails" caption before I knew any better.
Ugh...
You are correct.
That really is a good find. I actually forgot about that video and that particular quote. It's easily yet another favorite Trent Reznor quote of mine, and it really showed me how much he didn't care about such a thing. It's very good thing in that case. I suppose that's why he'd most likely never bother to explain or defend himself to Howard Stern. (Assuming that he ever caught wind of any/all the things he said about him post-TDS.) I actually kept wishing he'd make an appearance, but seeing and hearing this again reminded me how much he really didn't care. And well, at the point, having people taking it or leaving it really is the only final option available.
Interestingly enough, it's sort of like Al Jourgensen and Paul Barker as far as the glasses go. It made me wonder if they had them in mind when they put them on.![]()

Tangential spotting at best, but anyone who uses Trent Reznor quotes to teach thermodynamics gets two thumbs up in my book.
There has to be a cover thread here somewhere, but I stumbled on this and need to post it NOW. It's quite something.
Oh my god I can't stop laughing at the Satellite "cover".
My sides hurt so bad.
Closer was the demo song playing on some sound system at Best Buy while I was there yesterday.
