"visually terrifying yet inordinately stylish rhymer" what? looks like a personification of a Gipsy-stereotype with those golden everything. Disgusting butchery of music. End of rant.

the production is interesting, i guess, but i'd like to hear more than a cut up la mer with a generic beat...add some other instrumentation, even if it's samples.
definitely not a fan of toothtaker's rapping, but it's by far not the worst i've heard.
also, why would you wear a 30lb gold chain if it bruises your collarbone? like...get a lighter one?

This parody Se7en unboxing video closes with a short burst of fake Trent singing a jingle that is hilarious.

I was at Malta International Airport and the Hard Rock Cafe there has framed copies of a Spin magazine and a Rolling Stone Mag from around the time The Perfect Drug came out. I didn't have time to snap a pic but I'm passing through again in August. I'll get some then

New merch (t-shirts) up on the nin.com site, for anyone who's interested. Added some material from With Teeth, Wave Goodbye, and one Fragility 2000 shirt.

A local artist created a mural on the side of Numbers (a club in Houston where NIN played several times in the early to mid-nineties) and Trent is among those he included, although it looks like it was based on a capture from the Closer video.

The 99 Best Soundtracks Of The 90s

Lost Highway is listed at #69:

What makes it great: Produced by Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor, the soundtrack features a mix of score and song, including multiple songs from Reznor himself + many more cool dudes.
Really the soundtrack to: Wearing sunglasses at night.
Most memorable song: “The Perfect Drug,” Nine Inch Nails. Somehow hopelessly romantic and incredibly intimidating/scary, which is par for the course re: NIN.
Sleeper favorite: “I’m Deranged,” David Bowie. Unforgettably haunting techno Bowie, which also featured prominently at the beginning and end of the film itself.
Low point: “I Put a Spell on You,” Marilyn Manson. Kind of a clever idea for a cover, but it gets old.
Natural Born Killers and The Crow also make the list, although there's only a quick mention of Trent for Natural Born Killers.

On a recent Nerdist podcast, one of the hosts mentions a young comic wearing a Nine Inch Nails shirt at an open mic.

the entire reason i started watching whose line is because Greg Proops was wearing a NIN shirt on the first episode i ever glimpsed.

Finally got to use this as a reaction pic (cutoff on the screenshot, but it was the full version with the watermark/credits) on /b/ during some small Rez-nerding around. 'twas fun.

I would be very surprised if NIN is actually hire-able considering there's no real members once a tour is over, and Trent is a busy bunny. If this was an official Columbia or something post, maybe, but it seems to me this is a very speculative thing.

Plus, artists can veto setlists so no, you wouldn't get the perfect drug, happiness in slavery or any other song he doesn't play by choice.

    A) I'd pitch in for Rupaul. Who is with me?
    B) Bowie should go for much more than that.
    C) Can you imagine NIN as the wedding band?

I would expect NIN to be at least 300k, judging from this list. I don't know how they got the numbers but 150k seems really low considering the lights and what not. http://priceonomics.com/how-much-doe...favorite-band/

I wouldn't expect NIN to do this at all, unless it was for a personal friend or something??? Seems like this is just a list of bands with a price tag found by playing pin the tail on the donkey.

I saw that list a couple weeks ago and was disappointed about the omission of NIN.
I think anywhere between $250k-$500k makes sense.

I would actually pitch in as well. I believe that we actually have all the necessary resources within this community to pull this off. From booking a venue to having a caterer and whatnot..
    Wouldn't that be crazy?

I would get married and then divorced the next day just to have Trent play at my wedding.

    Who wants to get married?

I don't think we need the Tension light show. That's not the objective.
The objective would be to have a private NIN show exclusive to ETS members with a setlist selected in whole or in part by ETS.

So, you're saying elitism and a terrible setlist?

I don't care if it's NIN with a strobe light from a party store and some tinsel from an old Christmas tree, I'd gladly put money towards it (even though I know this is totally not serious or possible ultimately, it's a great thought).

    Pretty much...
I guess ETS would likely implode trying to put together a 2hr setlist.
