He was my favorite among the Nostromo crew, and I loved him in both Repo Man and Escape. 91 is a nice number though, I'm glad he made it that far, still performing. Amazing career.

So many wonderful roles in so many films and tv shows. I'm watching Twin Peaks right now and I love his Carl so much. Even in a cameo he managed to shine brightly.
RIP sir. Thank you for all those wonderfully magical moments.

This (and of course his work in Twin Peaks) will be a good memorial to him. The least this can do is get his performance some awards buzz.

Not the Brain! The greatest manager/color commentator ever! I love his commentary at the 1992 Royal Rumble match. If you haven't heard it, you haven't heard what commentary is. Especially the elation he had when Ric Flair won the Rumble and the WWE title. God, I'm gonna miss that man.
Thank you Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. You maybe a weasel but you're our weasel.

I met him in 1999 at an autograph signing at a record store. Knowing how bored and overall grouchy he had become in WCW, his demeanor that day isn't all that surprising. I talked to him for about 5 minutes, and he did well enough to engage but I could kind of tell he wanted to be anywhere else than a place that was blasting loud rock music, and being asked questions of varying interest by marks.

As sad as I am about the Brain, these comments from this website make me laugh: https://www.cagesideseats.com/2017/9...how-will-it-go
I can imagine the banter between Brain and Gorilla right now. Those were good times.

I'm pretty gutted about heenan. Literally, just finished a game, felt great, then I find out about Heenan. He went through hell in the last decade or so. He's not struggling anymore at least. Imo, he's the greatest wrestling manager/commentator, ever. No one will ever come close.

I just saw the news, fuck. Despite the fact that I think Playboy magazine was pretentious in the articles they put out and the nude photos had declined due to airbrushing and such. The man is a fucking icon and will be missed. Thank you Hef.

If the sex-positive people I follow on social media are any indication, he has a complex legacy. Some see him as the icon he is in pop culture, but others exploitative and predatory. I've got to say the fact that his plot will be next to Marilyn Monroe's, considering her photos were used without her agreement in the first issue, is creepy as hell.

Fuck 2017. Tom Petty is a national treasure. An institution of rock n' roll that was always there. Now, there's a big void that won't be filled. I grew up on Tom Petty as I'm sure a lot of us did. Plus, I'm sure everyone here and their sibling has that Greatest Hits album. So many great songs that are staples of radio. Thank you Tom. We will miss you.
