That damn diabeetus.
RIP Seattle legendary DJ & concert promoter Pat O'Day. On a national scale he was a founder of Concerts West which still thrives today albeit in a different form. This guy always had tons of amazing stories about dealing with bands back in the day.

Sigh, this sucks.
Vern Rumsey of post-hardcore band Unwound has died.
RIP to the great record producer Martin Birch. As a kid I recall seeing his name on the back of all my Iron Maiden albums, at the time wasn’t really sure what that meant in all honesty...

Ben Cross has died
Chariots of Fire, the 1991 Dark Shadows revival, Sarek in 2009's Star Trek...
RIP Ben. Thank you for the memories.
This one shocked me: Chadwick Boseman has died.

shit.....was not expecting that at all...that is very upsetting...
What the fuck. Looked frail lately but fuck man... RIP
Holy shit...did anyone else know about his cancer? I had no idea!
Shut the fuck up. I genuinely thought it was some sick fake news.
RIP Chadwick.
This one hits hard. Loved him in his previous roles in 42, through Da Five Bloods. RIP.
What the fuck 2020
What a terrible week in this country. From big (Chadwick's passing, the fascist lie-fest nightmare that was the RNC, continued strife, violence & murder bc of our racist policing) to small (Riley Gale of Power Trip unexpectedly passing at 34).
This one hit me hard and out of nowhere. Truly saddened. RIP Chadwick
RIP Chadwick Boseman.
This year is cruel.
Shocked. This one hurt. Very sad news. As well as Black Panther, Get on Up is one of my favourite films he was fantastic as James Brown. RIP
Regarding Boseman, the fact that he worked while he was sick, and kept it to himself, adds to his legacy.
I'm always impressed when people do that. I wouldn't be able to keep it quiet, if it were me.
Truly terrifying. I wasn't too fond of Black Panther, but liked him as a celebrity alot. This is really awful knowing the truly battled it with only a few people knowing. I mean, Marvel had to know it, no? He certainly looked a little frail here and there, but that didn't concern me to be honest. True hero, sad he's gone!
This ones really ht me, especially when people were posting all the charity work he was doing, especially for kids also battling cancer. Fuck 2020 and fuck cancer.
That's an interesting question. All actors have to be insured when they sign for a movie, If Marvel (or other studios he worked with in the last 4 years) had known he was that sick, wouldn't that represent a risk that he could be unable to finish the project he was working on? Business is heartless, after all.
Someone tweeted a picture of Chadwick with Kobe Bryant. Fuck you indeed, 2020.
While it seems heartless to discuss this over his death, I am indeed baffled this has been kept under wraps for so long and that they actually pulled through with it... kind of makes me respect Marvel or at least Ryan Coogler for their decency over it, if they indeed knew about it all along. It's utterly tragic either way...
my dark thought today was that they even dusted him for the one Avengers movie, they could have left well enough alone and just made Shuri Black Panther, right?
but that's crazy talk and I'm glad they brought him back for the movie. BP2, though, has a Princess-Leia-sized hole to fill.
man, wtf.

Video of an interview where he was talking about two kids with cancer who didn't survive to the BP release. this guy was amazing.
