Like Controversial NIN Opinions except with HTDA. Who would have guessed?
A cover is usually never an artist's best work, but I would say that IYLSE is the best HTDA track by far.

IYLSE? is pretty damn amazing.
2010 EP is stronger than ___An_____Omen_______EP___ and Welcome Oblivion combined
That we are still going to get official audio from the Chicago show for the fan bluray.
Experimentation.ogg
If these samples were actually used to create real songs HTDA would be a lot better. Even though it still is great.
I would love something; ANYTHING else that sounded like YZ. Those samples were full of YZ.
HTDA is over.
officially?
@eversonpoe i sincerely hope i'm wrong. i really fucking do.
but the goddamn website is dead, for instance...
the fucking remaining shirts are on CLEARANCE on NIN.com
not exactly the actions of a like thriving rock act, right?
HTDA is awesome, and if you can't enjoy it, guess you don't get cake. NO CAKE FOR YOU.
not sarcastic. just not my thing. the video where trent is dead ... or something ... was just awful. and as tony said, it always felt self indulgent to me.

i get it. art *is* self indulgent. maybe that's not the right way to describe what turns me off about it. the vocals are a breathy whisper at best, *i* don't think the videos are good ... i don't like it. of course this place is crawling with people who do. i just don't. no big.

How are y'all gonna face palm a 4 month old comment like that lol
HTDA was a failed experiment, at least they tried
how was it a failure?
- the music was gorgeous
- the videos were really cool (love you, @kel but you're wrong)
- the live show was one of the most incredible things i've ever seen*
- mariqueen's voice is outstanding and suited the music so well, and was also a perfect compliment to trent's
- ATTICUS
*i haven't seen NIN live since the NINJA tour
I hope that whatever future material they release is closer to the debut EP's sound than Welcome Oblivion's. In general I think they're a band that's better of with a leaner tracklist and sound. Welcome Oblivion still just seems too long to me.
