Also that Zatoichi box set makes ne long for a Blu Ray upgrade of AK100 i never bought that because i already have all of the Kurosawa DVDs but id like then on Blu.

Also... missing the Lynch/Cronenberg movies this month...

Man, I want all of those. I love Frances Ha, City Lights, and Tokyo Story. I've been watching some Ozu earlier this year and want to check out more of his work. That box set for Zatochi, Holy Shit!!!! That is obviously going to be hard to top.

I like that their switching to dual-format releases now, just as long as they're kept in Blu cases.

I started this thread almost two years ago and I had 21 films. Now I'm pushing 100 and over 20 of those are boxsets.

Thoughts? First thing that came to mind was Dead Ringers.
If that's the case, could they be working on a Cronenberg boxset?
The Brood, Scanners and Dead Ringers together.

There has been a lot of talk about a croneenberg boxset and lynch boxset on the criterion forum on bluray forum. I forgot what the proof or confirmation was though

i would love persona, but the people in the picture are men... both Persona and Dead Ringers need awesome blu rays. so does mulholland drive. OH SHIT maybe it's a psychosexual twin identity box set!

Mulholland drive was ssuggested by something criterion posted showing Lynch's requests for the print. Eraserhead we know for sure they have the rights to because it's on their Hulu, and it was in the graphic at the begining of the year, with a man who unmistakably had an eraser for a head. Scanners and the Brood are both on Hulu and iTunes under the collection.

If it is Persona, I think I'll have to get rid of the current DVD that I own. Shit. I really hope it's Cronenberg.

Persona was just added to Criterion's Hulu page and is free to watch for today and tomorrow.

The site hasn't been fully updated yet, but the Gray Gardens boxset will be getting a single disc blu ray update.

This will be the next one I pick up. Looks and sounds great, from the trailer and the comments/notes.

Nashville, FUCK YEAH!!!! Easily one of Robert Altman's great films. I hope McCabe & Mrs. Miller becomes a Criterion release. That's my favorite Altman film.

Dammit i missed the sale! I think im mostly set on criterion until they publish the Lynch and Cronenberg. Also looking at the Uninvited. But that was immune to the sale code.

Y Tu Mama Tambien better fucking come out next year. I'm tired of being teased by it. The Tenant also better be there as well.

The Fantastic Mr. Fox will get a spine if that article is to be believed and from what I'm hearing, it's pretty legit.

If that is true, my DVD collection is going to be happy. I have five of Anderson's previous films on DVD and I would love to see Moonrise Kingdom be added to that collection. Only Criterion should be involved w/ Wes Anderson's DVD/Blu-Ray releases.

I'm more excited about that box set of films by Satyajit Ray. I'm eager to check out more of his work and I hope the Apu Trilogy comes nearby around next year or 2015 depending on how much work is needed in the restoration.

It's better than nothing but Barnes and Noble is running a 30% off sale this week on all dvds and blu-ray.
