Watching the Turkey Day marathon on YouTube right now. One of my top five favorite shows ever!
I watch at least 2 movies a week. Final Justice, and the movie are perfect.
Mike Nelson and crew are equally great with RiffTrax!
"Looks like Trent Reznor just ran out of gas."
i had totally forgotten that line in laserblast.
also, i totally think that the one guy from the sheriff's office looks like @heavenly_bearded
I prefer Joel over Mike.....
I love them both for their own reasons. I could never understand why people were so obsessed with determining which one was better.
If you missed yesterday's marathon, pluto.tv is streaming it all weekend on channel 400. Pod People just started.
"It stinks."
i'm notorious for not being able to wait to give people presents, so it's KILLING ME that i have the new turkey day collection sitting in the closet but i have to wait until my wife's birthday (december 21st) to give it to her >.<
we did, however, just get the collection that comes with a servo figurine because shout factory had it on major sale last week!
Love MST. I am more into Mike than Joel but both are great. The Incredible Melting Man is probably my favorite episode.
"Dawn...in the Serengeti."
HOTCHKA!
What's wrong with bootblacking? I like it very much.
Rifftrax has been keeping me going since I have seen almost every MST movie. The Lord of the Rings trilogy is a treat to watch... it's fucking hilarious.
Fun fact: My dog's name is Jack Palance.
"i'm doctor ted nelson!"
last night, after subjecting ourselves to Santa & The Ice Cream Bunny (for the second time ever; definitely one of my favorites, though), sarah (my wife) and i watched the newest rifftrax VOD, Fun In Balloonland. it was 54 minutes long, completely insane, and our faces hurt so bad by the end from laughing too much. there was also a NIN joke right near the end that cracked me up good.
I don't know how I avoided it for so long as fan of MST3K and of bad movies in general, but I finally watched the Manos episode. I never really believed it when people said how bad Manos is and how even the MST3K crew couldn't save it at points, but wow. The "It's the same guy. It's still just the same guy" and "Don't burn any bridges yet, Torgo" lines killed me. Also, "DO SOMETHING!"
How were you able to avoid Manos until now?
Tis the season
make sure you check out the live rifftrax of manos, as well. it's fantastic and there's a lot of great in-the-theater moments (though if you haven't seen some of the episodes of mst3k that reference manos, you might not get everything...like the torgo's pizza delivery haha) and a completely different set of riffs.
tonight while decorating our tree, sarah and i re-watched the rifftrax shorts collection "santa's village of madness" which was done by k. gordon murray (the same guy who did santa claus) in preparation for seeing Santa Claus get riffed on thursday. so excited for that.
santa claus live was pretty good! not as good as some of the other live shows, but it was fun. their on-stage banter beforehand (CURLY SHOES!) was excellent, and the ACI short (at your fingertips: sugar) was pure madness.
national geographic is doing two new hours of rifftrax'd programming tomorrow at 8pm eastern time!
i've only watched the first of the three segments from their run back on april fool's day, but it was fantastic, so i'm looking forward to finishing those and checking out the new stuff.
The Guy From Harlem is a great Rifftrax
Vaguely Italian.
