A midi version of Something I can Never have I did a while back. It's got samples of Bill Hicks in it.

I recently recorded a full-band cover of The Becoming, but with some progressive rock & metal influences mixed in!
Also, I would recommend my Becoming cover video more than these, but my old band used to play some NIN songs back in the day:
Hey folks!
I've been doing my own NIN covers for quite some time now and I think I'm at a point where I want to share some of them with you guys.
Just to be clear, I'm pretty new to creating music and music theory in general, so my stuff is far from perfect. I've been playing the piano for 4 years now and I've been covering NIN songs for roughly a year. Needless to say, as I'm completely on my own, I'm still trying to learn basic level stuff.
Anyways, I think it's just nice when people listen to it. As of now, I've been doing these covers just for myself. And hey, if you got any suggestions or maybe even like some of my versions of our favorite NIN songs, that would be even better.
All songs were created entirely in Cubase 7 Elements with various plug-ins and VSTs. They all kinda want to sound like the originals or their live counterparts, so please don't expect anything inventive. Most of the time I just want to come as close as possible to the NIN sound (exceptions prove the rule).
Oh, and as my vocals are a big "nope", all songs are instrumentals (or the vocals are played as an instrument, too).
La Mer
Inspired by live version from 2006 and live version from AATCHB.
The Fragile
Inspired by live version from 2009.
Closer (Instrumental)
This one's pretty cool. I put a lot of work into that, and it turned out pretty close to the original.
8 Bits of the End
The name says it: The Beginning of the End - 8 bit style.
13 Ghosts II
That one pretty much sounds like the original, which is kinda cool I think.
12 Ghosts II
Same here.
Help Me I Am In Hell
Inspired by live version from BYIT.
01 Ghosts I
Not perfect, but okay.
28 Ghosts IV
This one's missing a few synths, but I like it nevertheless. Banjo is replaced by a piano.
Gone, Still
This is the first cover I ever did, not much to add.
Piggy (Still Version)
Vocals are played on piano and there are no drums. Not entirely happy with that.
Leaving Hope (Piano Cover)
Played live on MIDI stage piano and later added a few effects (mostly reverb).
The Frail (Piano Cover)
Played live on MIDI piano.
Just for the heck of it:
Here's a bit of Various Methods of Escape - "Cortini style", as I like to call it.
I hope you guys enjoy them, thanks for listening!

Couldn't use my wah on this one, so this is the best that I got. Sorta messed the timing up on the solo.
I did a cover of Sanctified 2013/2014 with Trent's original vocals from the Sanctified multitracks.
It's not the whole song, but I'm still pleased with the result. I also included the Sunspots bit.
Soundcloud
@BRoswell Thanks a lot, man. Really appreciate it.
I just found out that I can activate downloads in the Soundcloud settings, so feel free to grab the tracks over there now.
there is some awesome stuff in this thread!
Wasn't sure where to put this. It's not a cover but a remix, but I thought it turned out well:
I like that you pitched his voice a bit higher, really sounds a lot like younger Trent!
Here's my little guitar cover of Gave Up. Snapped a pick on this one.
Niggo your La Mer cover is absolutely spot on. Amazing job
^nice. Serious jamming there, very cool. That's my fave song off of Broken. Great job. Have you done any others from Broken?
Niggo, just omgoodness, great stuff! You said you have only been playing piano for four years? That's some serious talent there! You covered some of my fave songs. Have you done A Warm Place? Ya, that's kind of a hint by the way, lol. Gone, Still, Leaving Hope, La Mer and Ghosts, those are really good!

Wow, thanks a bunch you guys!
@telee.kom I'm definitely pretty proud of La Mer, has to be one of my favorites. Thank you!
@Omega I always wanted to do A Warm Place but somehow always forgot it. I will do that next time, thanks for the reminder!
Man, something happened today. I got over 200 listens today on Soundcloud. Awesome
^ I listened to several, more than once.
I take the liberty to post your La Mer cover on reddit, I guess you don't mind
@telee.kom Don't mind at all, thanks
Played a 90's tribute night with a few other tribute bands.
Good time
Here is my drum cover of You Know What You Are. I know it's not perfect, but I wasn't brave enough to take an another one haha !
Is it as hard as it looks?
Guitar lesson can be found here ->
I have chanel with guitar lessons, and since there's not much going on in realm of new music right now, I thought I would do some Nine Inch Nails songs that would be fun to play on guitar. Getting Smaller is fucking blast, I never really loved this song, but it's really great on guitar
