I've been collecting NECA TMNT since about 2016 when it started with the 1/4th sized 1990 figures with the four Turtles and Shredder, but once GameStop started offering those single packs ... I had to grab all of them. Originally I was just going to stick with the movie line as I had Tokka/Rahzar, Super Shredder, and Casey too, but I actually inherited the SDCC 2017 Toon pack after my brother sadly passed and I fell in love with them so I went out and got a bunch more.
At our other house, we just didn't have the area to display anything like I had in my mind so when I was finally able to get my own office space when my wife and I moved, I knew I wanted to get a display cabinet.
Got this one off WayFair, and it's nice but boy was it kind of a pain in the ass to put it together. Originally I had paid for a WayFair assembly team person to come over and help, but I had three people cancel on me the morning of ... so I ended up putting it together with a buddy of mine and it took us almost three hours. I love the way it looks, but something was off with my right cabinet door as it doesn't align properly. It's not terribly noticeable, but still ...
That said, I love it when it's SDCC season. Getting ready for all the coverage and reveals from NECA and other companies is always a blast. Wanted to share how my NECA display is looking, and how much I'm running out of room, haha.
I've got things organized by 1990, Secret of the Ooze, Movie 3/Coming Out of Our Shells, and 1987 mixed with a bit of Archie. I'm so excited to finally add Tatsu to my 1990 display. Hoping we eventually see an Archie Armaggon and 1987 series Tempestra this month!
