    Parks & Recreation

Tonight's episode was pretty great. Leslie's gift to everyone was amazing, and everyone's gift to her actually made my eyes water.

Ok, this show deserves more love than is implied by a 2-post thread. Here's some recent stuff to sadden/gladden you on the way into S6:

Leslie Knope as Evil Tyrant promo vid

2 major (and presumably expensive) characters are leaving after their runs this year

I actually never liked those characters.... but I love this show because of basically all the other characters.

    1) Please don't kill me for reviving this thread. No news to report on the show.

    2) Bought one of Nick Offerman's books at a thrift store, which then led me to go see him live.

    3) Both points in #2 led me to finally give Parks & Rec another shot after having felt underwhelmed by the first season. I can now safely say that I feel like an idiot for letting this show slide under my radar for so long, and I fully expect to finish the entire series by the end of the year. I totally get the hype now.

Yeah, both Parks & Rec and The Office suffer from totally underwhelming first seasons. In fact, I skipped over them when introducing the shows to my boyfriend because I knew he would lose interest if we watched those first. Thankfully in both cases you can just start with the second season and not feel like you've really missed anything crucial.
