Just had a 1700-something Dragonite appear. It fled after I used a razz and ultra ball.
Then 2 minutes later a 300-something Vulpix appeared and fled after a razz and great ball. FUCK!
Caught a Charizard yesterday though so not all bad. Also evolved to Slowbro today.
Mr Mime, Farfetch'd, Tauros, where the hell are you?!
This thread should be retitled to "Ryan's poke adventures "
Caught Kabuto and Electabuzz today. Now on caught 120 and seen 121 (fuck you, Dragonite).
i havent been playing much at all. finally got to play in nyc tonight. its nuts
Similarly, I live in a city that doesn't really have a lot going on as far as Pokemon (I'm still under 100 seen) and went to Buffalo last week. Holy shit, there was a spot where you could get like 5 stops at once without moving, and every 60 seconds a water type would pop up. I got over 100 Magikarp in the 3 hours I was there, a few new ones added to my Pokedex, and enough of some semi-rare ones to evolve them. It's INSANE how different this game is in bigger cities!
i instantly got a geodude abra and a nidorin spawn
Europe, Asia, and North America. You can GPS spoof to get them, but that's against the rules and you'll be at risk of a ban.
Info about trading and legendary pokemans

Dont let rob Sheridan see you play this game. His hipsterness will awaken and tell you how much of a zombie and a piece of shit you are for playing this game. Fuck him.
Trying to keep NIN topics on topic is hard when people go crazy about Pokemon Go instead. So, I'm replying to this here. Hope you guys don't mind.
"the iPhone version of the app may still have access to your entire Google account"
Yeah, no it can't. And that's where I should have stopped reading, but I kept going. And it sure doesn't get any less fear-mongering tinfoil-hat level as it goes on.
So, Pokemon Go asks for access to your location (which, why again is that terrifying? It's a location-based game. When it's running, it needs to know where you are.) and your camera (which you can actually deny it permission to your camera and still play, just without AR mode, which is a battery drain anyway). The contacts access can be denied and still you have full usability. You don't have to enter any CC info. Your e-mails are not accessed.
That laughable "article" goes on down that rabbit hole even further...
"If you aren’t already picturing Pokémon you can only capture in Starbucks, or pop-up ads for nearby Bubble Tea chains that offer refreshment after a long Poké-slog, you’re not cynical enough."
Naw, I just live in the real world, that's all. There is 0 reason for Pokemon Go to add pop-up ads, especially after it's been out this long. They're already making double-digit millions. As for location-specific pokemon... what's the problem again? It's a free game. If you don't want to have to walk by outside of a store to catch something, you don't have to. I don't see how that's linked to some sort of evil data-collecting scheme.
"If your dreams of a Poképaradise haven't been ruined by the realities"
Yes, the realities of knowing that this game will know where you are when you have it running, and if you choose to give it access to your camera (which doesn't mean it can take videos/pictures/recordings secretly and send that information to the company to sell to someone who wants to know that you thought Becky looked trashy in that dress last night, but rather, that the app can tell the camera to run in game when you select the option to use your camera) or choose to give it access to your contacts for future multiplayer experiences with people you know IRL, if that "totally terrifying personal information gathering scheme for world domination" ruins a free to play game that for once doesn't MAKE you buy anything eventually in order to keep playing and progress... then you have some issues that I can't help with.
I don't know about y'all but I'm just glad almost nobody here is playing this dumb ass thing anymore lol. Who would've thought it'd die down??!!!? Not I!
Hey international folks. Can you do me a favor and next time you hatch a farfetched, mr mime or kangaskhan could you screencap your journal, pokedex and Pokemon screen and message me or post it here?
Buddy feature is now available. Every 3k you walk it gets a candy.
I'm strolling with Magnemite.
Somehow out of most of my friends, I'm the one who is hooked on Pokemon Go...
Love the new buddy feature, though I noticed something odd - I've had a Sandshrew, Clefairy & now Pikachu as a walking buddy, Sandshrew & Clefairy both appear standing by my feet, Pikachu however is now perched on my shoulder - not sure if that is unique to him, or if I crossed some candy threshold.
Overall I feel like I have made some good progress (93/94 in the pokedex, level 23) been able to deal with some local gyms, and never really feel completely outmatched - however... wow this game is grindy, 100k+ levels are painful enough and bound to only get worse.

I am semi concerned with Winter, it gets cold enough here where my current playstyle of walking a lot is just not going to work.
Intrigued by how Pokemon Go is going to interact with Apple Watch, silly as it sounds, Pokemon could just be enough of a difference maker to buy an Apple Watch.
Just caught a Dragonite with hyper beam.
lol, then just now an Aerodactyl appeared. I have 4 of them now.

I finally caught a dragonite. Fucking hell
They're super hard to throw balls at huh?
Why are Vulpix so hard to fucking find?
I need a Ninetails tho.
Mine looks like this -
My lovely fiancé got me a Pokémon Go Plus for my birthday today!
Just hatched my fifth fucking Aerodactyl. I need a Hitmonchan.
On a good note, I caught my second ever Vulpix!
My youngest turned 9 today and caught a vulpix in the bathroom lol he wanted me to tell you folks it wasn't on a near list and literally popped up out of nowhere. I assume this is rad since he could barely relate the tale. He is convinced it was a birthday present from the pokemon people lol
