    Any thoughts on Entering Heaven...?

I'm about half way through and am digging it. I like how he went about these releases. Packaging it as a double album would have been a mistake, IMO.

I enjoyed it, but I definitely prefer Fear Of The Dawn. Would be interesting to see if both albums could be combined in a cohesive way.

I agree about Fear of the Dawn. I'd like to hear electrified versions of a few of these songs, All Along the Way being one.

Both new albums are excellent and compliment each other. Jack White is the artist of the year, IMHO.

The new album fucking RIPS. SOOO good.

The pitchfork review has a laughably bad/unnecessary intro paragraph.

Probably the best music he's written since White Blood Cells. It's produced and mixed like absolute shit, and it fucking rules.

i really liked it, it's the most "White Stripes"-sounding album he has made in his solo career.

It is absolutely terrific. SO rarely are there album cover-to-cover good.

EDIT: There is an interesting through line with this and newest Pumpkins album, returning to an "older" sound without trying to be younger. Alternative universe shit.

He let it out into the wild before it was released, so that's what those were.

I reckon it had something to do with vinyl length?
I do wonder if there are any differences though

Saw Jack last night and, my god, if you can come into some tickets for this tour fuckin do it. It's a pain in the ass with just a few days advance notice and of course the typical hoop jumping but if you can score tix you won't be disappointed. Small venues and the new material sounds great. Such a great show.
