2 questions. Are these only WAV files? My download was 5.39 gigs but I see some people saying it's 8+, am I missing something?

What's really nice though is having lossless instrumentals AND vinyl versions of the songs we know and love. Thus tinkering with them you can "de-fade", re-arrange and re-sequence them any way you see fit.

Assuming they exist, the only songs from TF that are missing now are the vocal versions of those new and rarer songs like Appendage, 10 Miles High, Was It Worth It, Not What It Seems Like, The March, etc. Maybe they'll turn up on Deviations 2?
10 Miles High is definitely on the regular vinyl and digital download.

I am wondering this as well. I never saw an option to select FLAC.
Also, these digital files are a mess. No artist / album information, so I've had to go back in and edit names for playing in Foobar, etc

Looks like it wasn't Trent, who prepared all these files/archives...

Anyone who has downloaded and not listened to their lossless files yet, make sure they are the full size files and none are 0 bytes. In case there was an error in their download, hence the size differences.

There was no FLAC option for either of my Deviation orders. They only sent one link for one of my orders so I'm going to email about the other order. I'm probably stressing over nothing but my OCD is kicking in. The past two days have just been a disaster with no links, broken links, etc.. BUT first world problems.

Maybe that would be a good idea to have a dedicated topic about the problems with the digital files. They are really nice and quick to answer (with me at least...) but it is boring that I had to deal with them three times for three things:
    - Before the flood with only MP3 DL while US store had 24/48 files
    - NTAE DL link and FRAGILE DEVIATION link never received
moreover, there's this thing about 2 NTAE files which are 44.1kHz upsampled - while the other are 48kHz.
    That's a bit too much.

Unless USPS doesn't ship on time. (But that never happens...)

Edit: Added winky face so people didn't think I was making a serious argument.

I'm kinda a little disappointed that The Frail doesn't flow into The Wretched with this Deviations edition.

Still doesn't make it right. :P
It's not like Trent didn't change other things, like The Day The World Went Away

To be fair, The Wretched on Deviations starts differently than the album version.

Did a quick skim through my copy this morning.

I had to use WinRar to open the zipped folder and most tracks had "corrupt file" messages. Once they're extracted, they open properly.

As it seams, this is the instrumental/alternate versions with bonus tracks. As far as I can tell "10 Miles High (alt)" = "Hello, Everything is Not Ok" so all of those apple exclusive tracks should be accounted for here.

Some of the new tracks are interesting. "Missing Pieces" sounds like a cool segue track that would have bumped into "We're In This Together".

One of the later tracks is a full length version of the piece of music heard at the beginning of "No, You Don't"

Overall, pretty cool. Can't wait to listen to it in it's entirety.

Yeah, I guess I was just expecting Trent might have put more work in with this release and made them flow better. Especially since Trent was about making it an experience. So it felt less like a collection of tracks. As said above, the Missing Places into WITT is nice.

Anyone open a thread specifically for download / distribution problems because I hate whingeing about this in the thread for the music?
I've got the same problem. I tried this:

    But no joy.

Currently downloading my zip folder. What's everyone's (who has heard it yet's) favorites of the new tracks? And since apparently none of them have vocals, does anyone think that maybe a separate Deviations will be done for the album with alternate mixes and vocals?

I only got WAV. I got duplicates of them, one of which can't be unzipped, but just WAV.
