.....ok i don't know how i never noticed this before.

That acoustic guitar riff that you can barely hear on 10 miles high (or just at the end on TFA) Is the main riff on Hello, Everything is not OK

If I remember the anecdote right, the cat was walking on some equipment and generally being in the way, and when he picked it up with a slight squeeze to escort it out, it made this weird quasi-meow-growl. Maynard thought it sounded really cool so they just recorded it after repeating the process once more. It was probably just kind of a "fuck off and don't touch me" meow, don't think the guy would hurt his pet on purpose.

It was the weird one with the woman getting her vagina sawed into while being held upside down (by ropes I believe?) It was pretty awkward lol

Could be either (even if there was a vagina visible, which there isn't), there doesn't seem to be any indication of gender unless you think only women wear long hair. Oh well let's continue to be upset by it.

I love those shirts, just because they aren't your typical nin shirts. The black one is the sawed in half one, the white one is 2 people fucking and slitting each others throats while the blood makes a heart. I have them both. Hard to wear sometimes.

It depends on where you live but for me in Arizona, it's: $9.59 for Media Mail, $16.71 for standard, Expedited is $19.27, Two Day Air $33.55, and Next Day $56.01

I'm just screwing around, don't you know spring of 2017 really means October of 2017. I bet everybody went and checked their accounts, think of it as a April fools joke nine days early.

spring is 1/4 of the year (unless you live here in chicago, in which case it's, like, two weeks). there's plenty of time for things to still be released in "spring"

It's that kind of optimism that leads to rehab, relapse and eventually being asked to leave a Holiday Inn Express in Hollywood on the grounds of moral turpitude. It all started around the time of the announcement of the Tension Live Blu Ray. After awhile of waiting and getting "sad" over it not being released, it started with a harmless drink next thing you know I'm snorting coke and shooting smack. I got into a great rehab program and then learned that the Tension blu ray was being shelved. I went nuts and went on a bender and after returning from Tijuana from an x rated performance of a donkey sex show, I stopped at a Holiday Inn Express in Hollywood. When the police came to the door because of several complaints of "satanic music" being played at high volume. Upon investigating the room the police found a goat, a chicken, a pentagram in blood on the floor, Anton LeVey books, two prostitutes dressed in berkas (they were really satanic robes) and a human ear. I still claim that the ear was there from the previous person that stayed in that room possibly David Lynch on a Blue Velvet bender but we will never know.
All the charges were dropped (the only thing they could link me to were the satanic books and robes) as long as I agreed to go back into rehab. No animals were harmed and the pentagram in blood was a result of me being so fucked up I hired two prostitutes on their periods.
I'm feeling a lot better now, but as you can tell I can't afford to share that kind of optimism.

So was the Tension Blu Ray officially shelved or just ignored for a few years?

I really don't know, some people take jokes way too seriously. I don't mean you. If they are still working on the artwork for deviations, I have my doubts about receiving it by "spring". The only difference is they never took our money for the Tension Blu Ray. I'm sure we will get our copies of Deviations, just not in the time frame we are expecting.

Why can't TR just outright tell us why it didn't come out? I mean it was advertised and everything saying the DVD/Blu-ray would contain all the songs and additional bonus features. Why put some of it online then can the rest without even a one sentence explanation? Shit like that grinds my gears.

I wish interviewers would ask these questions, they never do

Having been a fan for well over 20 years, I fully expect to not receive Deviations in spring. But if he took our money and sent the digital files I don't expect the delays to be too egregious. I only asked about the Tension Blu Ray because I just assumed it disappeared into the ether but this was the first I heard of a cancellation so I wondered if it was official.

Nothing official, but it appears that NIN will most likely tour I am expecting an official US tour 2018. If it was my band I wouldn't release a live dvd/blu ray prior to a tour because it would take away interest from the tour. People like you and me would buy the Blu Ray and go to one or more of the shows, but a lot of people would say why go to the show when I can watch the Blu Ray at home, even though it is from the last tour. I would hope when the tour is over that they would release a box set of Blu Rays from a bunch of previous tours with full shows such as NINJA, Wave Goodbye shows, Tension shows, 2014 summer tour shows and the upcoming tour shows. Many other artists have done this with audio shows such as Genesis, Peter Gabriel, and Pearl Jam, but it would cool to have a video anthology of various tours.
As for the vinyls, I'm not worried about getting them, we will get them, my only concern is I live in the desert. I don't buy vinyl in the summertime for obvious reasons, vinyl doesn't react well to 110 degree temperatures when the mailman leaves it at your door and it sits there all afternoon until I get home from work.
