in other news, Friday FYF sold out and Sunday FYF tix still available. Not looking good for TR's future headlining clout.
NIN has also confirmed Riot fest on Instagram with a very familiar (and relatable) Halo cover

Alas! A festival I probably wouldn't mind going to, effectively just down the road, and instead I'll be in Norway that weekend. #firstworldproblems
The rest of y'all better go enjoy the hell out of that show for me.
Isn't riot fest known for having certain artists play album sets?
Only seeing 3 day passes. This festival does do single days, right?...
Saul Williams is playing as well...that could be fun if they're both Friday.
Looks like they started selling 2 day and single day tickets in June for last years festival. Wonder if they do single day VIP tickets and if it's worth it?
Does playing Riot Fest suggest the shows are going to be heavier?
I might need to rethink my position on US festival shows. Being an old fart, it's crazy that I recognize & actually enjoy so many bands on the bill.
that riot fest lineup looks amazing.
So we got 2 late July shows and 1 mid September one , lots of space in between
Got mine. $150'is pretty reasonable for three days of great bands
the last time i went to a festival, it was the first year Lolla was in grant park in 2005. i got heat stroke the first day and couldn't go the second day. needless to say, it was a miserable experience.
even at regular shows these days, i sit down, or don't go half the time when i buy tickets, because i have a hard time enjoying myself. but there are way too many bands i LOVE to pass this up.
i somehow missed out on the $150 passes even though i was on the site at exactly noon, and ended up with the $170 ones. thankfully, my wife decided she wants to go, too, so i won't be nearly as miserable having to be in a giant crowd of sweaty drunk people.
I don't want to do a festival show, but god damn if I did, that would probably be it. Best festival lineup I've seen this year for sure. Hell, if all the bands I like on that list are playing Friday and they do one day passes, I might hop a few busses or see if anyone wants to carpool over to go.
Fuck FYI Fest, and Fuck this magical unicorn of a festival called "Pemberton" that doesn't exist (and is going to be cancelled anyway), I'm going to riot fest!
I know I said no more trips/airplane rides after June (I really, really hate airplane rides), but I ***NEED*** to see NIN on this run, and this looks like it's going to be my best bet. There are at least 10 other acts on this bill I'd want to see as well! Really good lineup!
Yeah, that lineup is truly incredible. I might have to figure out a way to go both to this and Panorama.
What's everyone thinking the production's going to be like for this run? The spacing between shows is pretty immense but I also have a hard time picturing Trent doing highly fluid setlists for festivals, considering his history with them. For the first time since early 2013 I really don't know what to expect.
Well, it seems clear this is not a proper festival tour in the vein of Summer, 2013. It may very well be that these few festival dates will be worked into a headlining tour schedule. It's still odd that we're inching closer and closer to Summer, and nothing really significant has been announced, though.

Oh man. I know it's not gonna happen, but what if New Order played some Joy Division songs with NIN ala Gary Numan? That would be amazing, not to mention a career highlight for Trent
Edit: Just saw that TV on the Radio and Ministry are on the bill too. That's a lot of NIN history and influences in one weekend
