cc: @Jetvet1975 you mean the standard four-on-the-floor beat? that's...pretty common in music. closer is unique in that it samples the kick drum from iggy pop's "nightclubbing" and has that snare that sounds like a can of compressed air, and neither of those are present in the background world.
I haven't listened to it side-by-side or anything, but the other day when I was listening to the "are you sure" part it definitely reminded me of Closer. Especially with all the call-backs to past songs and music, thought it might be on purpose. And I think a snare comes in after a couple times through? I could be entirely wrong though, just sounded similar to my ear.
Strangely, the description says "Import".
WTF is going on? Isn't this product supposed to be handled firstly by US manufacturing... or are they pressing the CDs in Germany because Sandbag is based in UK?
Add Violence will be released on Capitol US, much cheaper.
NIN.com should explain some of this stuff for Christ's sake!
Very impatient.... LOL
I preordered the Import CD off of Amazon US. Watch it be a bootleg. hahaha.
In times in which everything is almost a bootleg in Russia, I wouldn't doubt of a single word you just said. LOL
ACTUALLY, that makes sense. An Unofficial item? The NIN.com site NEVER CONFIRMED CD for this release... Really weird!
And I've seen unofficial items go into listing in Amazon (and Ebay).

You know, nin.com never mentioned Halo 1-4 twelve-inch boxset either.
Nin.com did mention an official Tension video back in the day, too
Now, if you talk E b a y, then we enter a total grey area because it's a mere flea market with benefits, anybody can put anything on sale there.
It's amazing how often people say "Boo, got <wrong item> from E b a y" instead of "Boo, got <wrong item> from some stranger who happened to take a nice picture and fill in appealing description text"
I found the blocking of The Lovers to be most stringent with live performances being blocked (very annoying) but maybe it's changed now. Do you think the blocking could be related to a single release?
I was running errands today and decided to stop at Best Buy to see if they got AV in. They did not..No surprise.
I know it came up before, the theory that new NIN music might tie in with new Twin Peaks, beyond their appearance in Part 8, so when I was just reading this write-up in Variety, covering the two-part finale and this line struck me as relevant: "no matter how universal the story becomes, the evil is immovable: Like it’s a simulation where every tweaked variable still produces the same result." Not sure I buy into that theory myself, but still, it's interesting. http://variety.com/2017/tv/news/twin...ap-1202546550/
Let the frustration begins...

Good. Please when the orders are in, please can some of you make some picture so I can post in Discogs the proper release.
What I will need: Front, Back, CD, CD matrix (preferably scanned 300 dpi).
Pictures which reveal stickers or that sort of thing also are appreciated.
Thank you.
They will belong to this master branch.
https://www.discogs.com/Nine-Inch-Na...master/1108172
It contains two 12 inches and 5 digital downloads.
Add Violence is much louder than Not The Actual Events as I've noticed, not sure if it is due to mixing or it being perhaps more dense, either way, it makes "Not Anymore" seem more agressive than "The Idea Of You"
That would be a mastering thing if that's the case (haven't actually noticed that myself). All songs on a particular record are usually normalized to match each other in volume, but different records usually aren't matched against each other.
AV and NTAE are pretty mastered the way NIN is doing lately.
They're a little bit different, I find NTAE more "messy" and less "bassy" due to its rock content.
On the other hand, AV has quieter songs, thus the volume has been pushed up a little further (more electronic bass and synths).
AV is quite on par with Year Zero.
Although all latest NIN masterings are very loud (not counting the 2017 definitive crap here),
they don't get even closer to Oasis' absolutely dumb practices since "What's the Story Morning Glory" (the loudest popular record in the world).
No bass, no treble, just static!

I think I am not a fan of the song" not anymore". I always seem to skip it.

Same here. I supposed there had to be "the crazy" nonsyntonic melody track...I think I am not a fan of the song" not anymore". I always seem to skip it.
Good to scream at people though - "Not anymoooooreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...."
Please let us know when you get it. Post pictures. Video unbox it!Amazon.ca just sent me a update on my delivery date so hoping it means I'll get charged soon and weird it doesn't have the prime shipping to get to me Friday.
I'm mad about getting this EP!
Just picked up a copy of Kerrang! (UK) today to check out the NIN (or more accurately Trent/Atticus) interview. A good interview, go pick up a copy. However at the tail end there is release dates for AV.
CD: 13 Oct 2017
Vinyl : 17 November 2017
This just doesn't make any sense to me at all. If you are going to tout that vinyl is the be-all, end-all for listening to music properly, wouldn't you want your audience to be able to experience your music for the first time in that format? By now we have all played both EPs to death. Just seems odd.
Production delays impact everyone, even Trent.
