Sweet, looks like TR is giving me a Birthday gift after all!
C'mon July 13th! (I'll also accept the 12th or the 14th)
My sisters birthday is the 12th. I think she'd be happy with that
Beats the hell out of 'SOON.'
And Happy Birthday.
Holy shit! This just made my day!
Smoke'm if you got'm
Please don't be a drill, I need good news in like the worst way.
I'll still like buying things on CD next week.
I just hope there's something as cool as the Physical Component accompanying it and that it continues NTAE's sound and aesthetics. Burning Bright opens the doors for some really dark stuff to follow and I'd love to dive into that space.
"Next week... the new EP will be released exclusively to Apple Music members. It will be the only way to listen to the EP. I no longer love vinyl because of Firebrand and Sandbag."
Don't bet on a CD...My guess is it will be offered up the same way as NTAE
If aaanything, my money's on a round of tour dates, but who knows.
How am I expected to maintain an erection up to a maximum of 168 hours? :O
I hope it actually gets released next week, not just announced next week!
Wow, this is going to suddenly get Sandbag even busier! Maybe we in Europe will get Physical Component 2 ahead of Physical Component 1. Good news, but trying not to be too cynical here...
Weird that he'll be announcing/releasing EP no.2 before I receive my 'NTAE' vinyl, but.... AWESOME.
The folks in Sandbag tonight -
I want that to be it, don't get me wrong, but where was it confirmed there wasn't gonna be a tour this year?
And if it IS new music, I feel like the whole "soon/next week" thing would be a weird approach after having such a problem getting the LAST surprises out the door first. But what do I know?
Well, he said the EP is coming out before the start of the shows, and that's in two weeks, so there's pretty much no question "NEXT WEEK" refers to the announcement/release of that (and probably also an update to the store).
As for touring, he said previously there were no plans to tour this year, and the Aftershock announcement on nin.com refers to it as "a rare 2017 appearance," which wouldn't make any sense if there was a tour in the works.
The band are all seasoned NIN vets, so it's pretty simple for them to learn a couple new songs and brush up on the old ones. Sadly, since this is a festival run, I wouldn't be surprised if their 90 minute sets are comprised mostly of standard hits with only a couple new songs peppered in (though I really hope that's not the case).
The third EP will most likely be released very late in the year, so- assuming there will be a tour at all- it's massively unlikely it would be before 2018.
Yay!
I don't care what it is, I'm excited.
