I know NTAE dropped with very little notice but how far in advance was Add Violence announced before its release date? I'm hoping we hear something regarding the 3rd EP release in May, although I expect it to be released June 7th-13th.

From what I remember AV was teased weeks in advance via instagram; it was a photo of ADD VIOLENCE in print with only the last 3 letters visible. This is when people started guessing the EP would be title THE PRESENCE lol. Then I believe it was a week before release where Trent tweeted something and then LESS THAN was dropped with the video. Then track after track got released before the entire thing the following friday.
With all the tour hype I almost forgot. We are, at most, just under 6 weeks from new NIN!!!!
I actually slept through the on sale for those tickets. I ended up dropping 200 bucks on Ebay. It sucked that I had to do that but I couldn’t live with the idea of being in New York that night and missing that show, especially after walking by Webster Hall on Saturday that weekend and telling my family how much I would love to see NIN there and that it was never going to happen.
I think I have a problem
Just clicked on nin.com and got this message:
"You've been temporarily locked out due to suspicious behaviour. Please try again later."
Not just you. That message is the site now. Things are happening
"Soon".
I'd expect it to happen again tonight. I don't think their host is very good at weekly server updates
Uggghhh...we need some news!
Any minute now...
Soon...
I'm still thinking announcement in late May, EP in early June.
Trent sets the expectations with this relatively recent interview; and I'm glad this interview happened as it allows me to understand why NIN 2016-2018 has been more background/quiet than NIN 1999/2005/2008.

^ Yes it's hard to believe it's already been 10 years since he quit NIN (tour bus video). Maybe that's what kicked it all off...
NIN had a few shows that we basically nightmares and stressful. It's part of the reason why TR/AR are taking a different approach lately... lets book only what we want when we want and as many shows as we feel comfortable doing. (there's a 2017 video for that speech too)
LOL at Josh interrupting...
