Giuliani is borderline senile, and he should have retired ages ago; laughing last night watching MSNBC critiquing Giuliani’s Fox interview, where he used the term “funnel” (the money) LOL LOL, never a great term to use in politics.

I’m REALLY surprised that Giuliani admitted this right now. He used the term “FUNNEL” on TV regarding the PRESIDENT.!!! Funneled payments through the law firm to Cohen for $35,000 per month as a retainer for legal work even though Cohen did no legal work. Oh, yeah, that sounds totally legal.

Feds tapped Trump lawyer Michael Cohen's phones

At least one phone call between a phone line associated with Cohen and the White House was intercepted, a source said.
    Wow.

That's the first thing I thought when I heard that. My ears focused in on "funnel" and I swung my head around to the TV with such a look on my face. This is insane, and yet, his supporters just double down no matter how much plain as day evidence comes right out of their mouths. Next we will be hearing "he didn't collude with Russia, they just talked and worked together." and his base will just reply with "see, NO COLLUSION!"

Yeah, that's the funny thing, no "collusion" is the catch phrase, to take their focus off of everything ELSE, because "no money laundering" and "no campaign finance fraud" sounds bad.

"No Collusion" is like saying "No Bread Buttering!" "I DID NOT BUTTER MY BREAD, NOT WITH ANYBODY, AND NOT WITH THE RUSSIANS!! I DON'T EVEN LIKE BUTTER!"

Buttering bread isn't illegal. There is no law against it. So, you can go scream that from the rooftops, and get all your fans to say, "Yeah! He didn't butter his bread! So fuck you, all you bread-butterer accusers!" Meanwhile, if Trump was gassing people in his office, at LEAST he wasn't buttering his bread!

    Or FUNNELING!!

Rudy Giuliani was the friggin' Federal U.S. Attorney for the S.D.N.Y. in the 80s! He HIRED James Comey! He was a DEMOCRAT in the 70s! So, this is some weird shit going on, here, for sure, some are laughing that maybe he's setting up Trump because he's still pissed that Trump didn't give him the Attorney General gig.

One smart thing Rudy did was tell Trump NOT to ever talk with Cohen because (a) Cohen's phones are probably bugged (which they were, LOL) and (b) Cohen will flip (because they always do).

Still laughing at the funnel comment, it was like Giuliani FORGOT that he was in front of TV cameras, maybe thought he was at dinner somewhere and having some off-the-record conversation over scotch. "So, yeah, I am looking through Trump's finances and I go, 'hey, why are you paying Cohen $35,000 per month, if he's not doing any legal work for you?' And Trump says it's as payment for that Stormy Daniels business, funneled through the law firm ..."

    What the fuck ...

Cohen long been accused of some pretty shady things no doubt he was tapped, lot's of dealing with russain's, money laundering and more, the idiot's playing catch me if you can, remember he fired federal DA for the district were Trump tower sits. i think he was assured he could drag this out and never get caught. the question is who? i don't believe he or his sons. are that smart. the Russian's or Putin doesn't appear to have gotten anything significant out of his presidency yet? he appears to have the whole of fox to run interference for him, which is scary. at least all this all keeps him under the microscope. just hope there is no money for the stupid wall between the tax cuts Syria. i don't think the dem's are going to do as well as they would like to think in the mid terms.

This rapidly shifting narrative regarding the hush money to Stormy is fucking insane. We've been asked to accept a lot of ludicrous shit from this administration, but the idea that Cohen didn't even ask his client if he should pay off a porn star claiming she had an affair with 130,000 dollars in hush money is just beyond the pale.

So the claims were groundless, and yet you seemed to legitimize them with a shoddy payoff? Imagine if your lawyer did that without consulting you. "Oh, hi Jim, so, just thought I should let you know, but I just paid $130,000 to some pornstar who claims you fucked her. Just thought you should know, and of course I'm expecting to be reimbursed. What's that? Why would I do that when there's no actual evidence to back up her claims? Hmmmmm..."

And Rudy's defense, like "imagine if this came out in the final days of the election!" Uh, we had plenty of women accusing him of sexual harassment and groping. We had one who claims that she was basically kidnapped and raped when she was under age... you didn't pay these people off, and they're making accusations that the conduct in those cases wasn't consensual. So that's more salacious, and yet there's a strange double standard here when it comes to who you pay off?

WHO is actually going to believe this shit?

Trump said there were no questions about collusion in the leaked Mueller questions. and then it suddenly hit me: i don't think trump knows what collusion IS. he just knows it's not good and he's been accused of it.

"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

i guess what scares me the most is how much it lowers the bar for the office, the guy lies on a daily basis, imagine if any other president in history had had an affair with a porn while married and paying her off! and still getting support from the family values crowd? even Monica was a willing participant. with the payoff and timing. stormy was basically a high priced call girl. or as Winston famously said," we've established what you are, now i guess we are just haggling over the price"

he's tapped into something that is truly frightening, and i don't think it's top down. it's bottom up.

He's realized that a lot of people no longer care about the truth. we've hit the point where facts and proof are less valuable than feelings and opinions and allegiances.

All he has to do is say that the Stormy Daniels thing isn't true. it's a "witch hunt." it's "rigged." it's "fake news."
And his base will go with that. some will actually believe him and the ones who don't will go along with it. people like those words and he keeps fucking saying them.

i mean think about the birther thing. he knew damn good and well that Obama was born in the US.
He knows he didn't see any fucking muslims cheering on 9/11.
but he knows that this shit gets people excited.

disturbingly, this shit is working REALLY well.

according to the Washington Post, he has made 3,001 false or misleading claims since taking office, averaging 6.5 lies a day.

@Louie_Cypher , i'm with you on how it lowers the bar for the office.
Is there any turning back from this?
Is this the future of American politics?
Because if so, it's going to look a hell of a lot like pro wrestling from here on out.

Yeah, it's kind of weird that they bothered to pay off Stormy Daniels at all. They'd have been better off doing nothing, cause then her story would have been lumped with all the other people who have accused Trump. He could have pretended he barely knew her. But the hush money is the very thing that proves it all true.

Psychopaths want to get caught in their lies, even though they rage at the people who catch them.

They just want your attention and to suck your energy out of you.

All it says is that... well, I don't know how much dirt there might be to legitimize the other claims against him, but I DO know one thing: The Stormy Daniels shit is absolutely 100% true, and Trump has been lying about it and how he used funds to cover for it.

It's true, it's true, and I know it's fucking true!!!!! I feel so insane after all this "fake news!!! FAKE NEWS!!!!!" shit, and how Trump and Co can just claim whatever insane shit they want to be the truth.... NO. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY FUCKING TRUE.

TRUMP, YOU ARE FUCKING LYING. YOU ARE A LYING LIAR AND YOU LIE ALL THE TIME AND NOW YOU'RE LYING AGAIN AND I'M SO FUCKING SICK OF IT YOU LYING FUCKING LIAR.

Nixon was horrible and would go after anyone for power. marijuana laws are what they are because of hippies and blacks. two groups that were a threat to him.

there are a lot of things a new administration can't fix Pruitt's EPA gutting i find the MPG rollback horrible, we see gas prices all ready rising. which will keep us evolved in the middle east. ford announced it will focus on Suv's, and make things like Darpa more attractive a lot of scientists are going to France to contribute to renewable energy, which will be huge financial sector in the future, which we are losing to both Germany and china. trying to hang on to dying jobs like coal mining and fossil fuel jobs is dead end. and denying climate change for the sake of jobs does no one any good. it's going to be very hard to find a boogeyman for environmental changes. it will be very hard to blame Mexican's for not having clean drinking water a rising sea levels.it's also incompetents he surrounds himself with with anyone who will stroke his ego or give him money. what happened to draining the swamp? saw something that said a lot of his campaign was based on retweets he received things like " maga, build a wall and others. national policy based on twitter retweets?

That difference actually makes me think: What else? Because you're right, he could have just let it ride but he didn't. So is there something else? Something that necessitated the money vs. just blowing them off? Same with the other one. The one I'm not going to search for atm because I don't want to put those key words into a search string here.

Thing is, the person who originally sold the story was her EX HUSBAND, trying to make a buck. And HE may have made some serious cash from this, who knows; but she wasn’t even interested in telling anybody, because by then she was married to her current husband and he didn’t even KNOW about the Trump thing. But when that In Touch magazine threatened to do the story, they came to her after her ex sold them the story, then the Trump team sent the magazine a cease and desist so they pulled the story, then WEEKS before the election Cohen bullies her into this payoff.

Giuliani is claiming that this wasn’t about the campaign, it was about Trump’s marriage; which makes it sound like it really happened. Up until this point, the spin was that it never happened but paying her off was to shut up her lying about it. Or something.

This morning, the President said something like “yeah, Rudy is a great guy, but he just started yesterday and he still has to get his facts straight.”

    Lol

Anyone reading up on the fact that a federal judge in VA is questioning Mueller's team about the relevance of the charges they've brought against him thus far?

My parents are.... EXTREMELY PISSED OFF about his. They have family spread around this country that are likely to be deported back to Honduras which has become a very dangerous. If there's anyone here in this forum that supports this asshole who has decided to do this. You all better line-up because I'm going Thanos on all of your asses.

This all sounds fucking awful, so they're giving them "12 to 18 months to return to their native country or seek another form of legal residency."

It sounds like those with TPS could still apply for U.S. citizenship though, is that true? Of those who have built new lives and don't have any intention of returning to Honduras what would really be stopping them from doing that exactly? I know it's quite a meticulous process with interviews and tests, maybe some folks have tried and failed more than a few times because of language barriers. Some may have criminal backgrounds?

This really hostile immigration shit is happening in the UK too, with people who came legitimately from the Caribbean being deported or threatened with it. a lot of people seem so blasé about it too, like well I’m sure they will sort it out in the end! Well that’s alright to say if you’re not affected, there’s so little empathy too. It’s getting so ‘invoking Godwin’s law’ won’t be an actual thing because we do resemble Nazi germany

Hopefully, until the xenophobic assholes are put back into their cages, this shit, like the fucked-up travel ban, and ending DACA, will likely get challenged in court and will be stayed.
