I asked the writer from the Variety article if "Mother" was a typo, and he said no. Maybe @teitan can clear this up?

I dunno, the only thing that connects TR, Atticus and 'Mother' that I could find is the band Telepathe. But it kinda doesn't ad up because TR+AR did a remix for their song Destroyer in 2012 while Atticus did a remix for a different song from earlier album Dance Mother on his own in 2009. Also it should've happened much earlir than 2009.
Should probaby go in random questions, but does anyone know if maybe "Mother" was the name of 12 Rounds album that never came out, Sheepdean would know.
LP 3 has no working title I know of, and from the context it wouldn't be Atticus helping Trent. This might be something else, hmm
Okay not "NIN" spotting but still interesting because DG and TR are pals and DG, as we know, drums on many NIN tracks. Meanwhile TR produced MM in the early/mid90s; which in turned "killed grunge" which makes DG sad. Based on the scene and music DG could have used TR in place of MM for this article... well until MM went all weird with boobs and wigs.
Dave Grohl has opened about the ’90s rock scene, claiming that Marilyn Manson is responsible for the downfall of grunge.
Grohl reasoned that Marilyn Manson’s shock-rock, goth aesthetic and use of spectacle resulted in the complete opposite of grunge’s ‘DIY punk’ ethic. Grohl believes that produced a total turnaround in rock sensibilities.

Trent wasn't involved with Error, though.
It's an ARG

What did I say about linking to Consequence of Sound?
Was any video of that interview panel he did with Variety posted anywhere
Holy shit, that cover is so fucking bad.
This quote is almost as bad as the cover:
“...happened really organically. We were in the studio making the record, just kind of going through some old songs while they were setting up. We jammed it out the first time and it was like, boom, automatically sounded right as if we’d written it, which is what we always want to achieve when we do a cover.”
Fuck this guy in the ear.
This was just shared to a Facebook group I'm in for the podcast Welcome To Night Vale.

I'll post this in a few places, but this itinerary looks like it can confirm the dates and locations of the Nov/Dec 1995 club tour with Helmet. (not my auction)

^There are some NIN songs that are so NIN that other bands shouldn't try to cover them.
I'm Afraid of Americans used at the beginning title card/hospital action sequence of Black Lightning, of all shows. Show is VERY music-centric, but has focused almost exclusively on hip hop, r&b, funk, soul & jazz thus far (unsurprisingly).
