If it had been Friday/Sat I would have likely attempted to do both. Fri/Sun you are correct too long in London & too much time out for me. Anyone lucky enough to be going to both I'd expect different shows now.
Saw Placebo at Meltdown yesterday. We can expect a show specific shirt (done by the venue), everyone will definitely stand up, and likely a Cure cover. Robert Smith didn’t come out for Placebo (and he’s basically in love with them) so I doubt he would for NIN but who knows.
Oh ans drinks are cheaper in the upstairs bars (top of stalls and balcony) - you can use these bars if you’re in front stalls.
So specific as in NIN/meltdown T? I saw that there are Meltdown T's aready available minus bands as well as limited edition posters here -

Thanks for info useful to know. How was view and where were you I am in rear stalls. if everyone stands will view still be good for shorter people? Is it graduated enough?
Yes the shirts are black with yellow text. Band name on the front and then what's written on the top bit of the poster on the back.
I was in the front row so I can't say unfortunately.
Hey there! Coming to London from LA. Have Royal Albert tickets. Looking to also attend this show. Would love two tickets for the floor. If anyone is selling any or knows of anyone selling so I dont have to pay huge scalper prices, please PM me. Thank much from a long time fan!
Seeing people travelling all over the world makes me feel kinda silly for being terrified of travelling from Manchester to big, scary London... Can't wait though, this work week is going to drag!
Looking forward to this now (hopefully my anxiety won't get the better of me as i'm on my own like with the O2 shows)
I don't really want to see the warm up act but if there's shirts to buy i want in early, or Pins (i need me some new NIN pins for my bag!)
If anyone has decent tickets for the Albert Hall gig but fancies swapping for RFH, then let me know. My RFH tickets are in the middle of row FF of rear stalls so in the front third.
My flight to London is tomorrow morning.
It's finally getting real, guys! I can't wait
See you around!
OK silly question, has anyone received their e-tickets yet? I haven't had a thing and i checked my original email and it was defiantly for an e-ticket
wonder if they will play any cure covers. placebo did "let's go to bed" & libertines did "boys don't cry" during their meltdown shows. there certainly is plenty of material to work with. perhaps something off of "pornography" or "faith" would be good. there's a few on "disintegration" that i would be interested in hearing trent play also. think you all are if for a special show. if i had to guess, royal albert hall will be more of a straight NIN show, not that there's anything wrong with that!
I finally gave in yesterday and sent an email asking where me ticket was. I had a response and a copy of my ticket within 10 minutes. Don't know what the problem was, but they've been pretty good and sorting us out so can't complain really. I would be very pleased if they do pull out a Cure cover, but I can't begin to guess what they might go for. How about Push? One of my favourites... not an obvious hit, but a good left-field pop track... I'm picturing some tambourine action too.
People on the subreddit had the same issue with not getting e-tickets, a lot of people. Something probably went wrong with their system trying to send out all the Meltdown tickets on one day or something.
I've never really listened to The Cure, so any cover is going to be completely lost on me. Everyone seems to like them though, so... Any suggestions on where I should start?
Dirty, lofi, beat infused dirge version of Lullaby would probably make me die.
Who knows what happened with the e-tickets, but the staff were really helpful and quick! Can't praise them enough really.
I'd be over the moon with a Forrest cover!
