Here comes Bernie with the worst take!
https://www.thedailybeast.com/bernie...dates?ref=home
Bernie does this thing constantly where he says something first without thinking about how it sounds and then has to clean it up either later in the interview or in a follow-up. Happens all the time. Bernie's quote makes it seem like PoC shouldn't run since white people are uncomfortable voting for them.
Emphasis mine on the bolded text.“I think you know there are a lot of white folks out there who are not necessarily racist who felt uncomfortable for the first time in their lives about whether or not they wanted to vote for an African-American,” Sanders told The Daily Beast, referencing the close contests involving Andrew Gillum in Florida and Stacey Abrams in Georgia and ads run against the two.
Yeah, that's a good point. I guess I tend to think of that as more of a completely dumbass way of phrasing things as opposed to a "wrong take." But yeah, it's a ridiculous thing to say. If they're uncomfortable for voting for an African American politician, then they are, by definition, racist, so what he's saying makes no fucking sense. That said, I think the rest of his statements were all spot on and correct.
But, didn’t they get to vote for a black President just 6 years ago?
This is disgusting, what could possibly be the official rationale for purging voters for inactivity? You should be applauding them for finally voting! They must have had some ‘official’ reason for it (even if we know the real reason).

So glad Pete Sessions is gone. Now maybe cannabis reform can be debated on the floor for once.
She seems like such an awesome person. However, I always get the impression that she doesn't know what she's talking about when she does interviews though. I think she's just an odd interviewee though. I hope she kicks ass and paves the way for more millennials in congress
