I don't think disc space was a problem - the album is just under 74 minutes, so there was a bit of wiggle room for the intro. Trent probably liked the abrupt intro of Terrible Lie instead of a typical "live sound -> intro song" wind-up.

US CD - gatefold doesn't have folder for lyric sheet.
AUS CD - gatefold has room for a lyric sheet, but doesn't have one.
JP CD - gatefold has room for a lyric sheet & includes Japanese/English lyric sheet.

It's the same as the one sold in Canadian stores, I believe. But the manufacturing & distribution information text on the rear cover (and on the disc itself) is different from the US version; otherwise they're identical.

No. Other than the copyright details they look identical. Probably coincidence, but my US nor my AUS CDs came with the black hype stickers.
